Today's pretty much the day of the birth of the AHL Pacific Division.
And already there are all sorts of random talks from everybody. The Denver Post is talking about Colorado possibly resurrecting the Denver Cutthroats, for example.

so the rangers lost again being shut out in two straight games now looks like being on a hot streak before the all star game was a bad thing

Anyway, here's the results of yesterday's AHL announcement:
*Anaheim will move the Norfolk Admirals to San Diego.
*San Jose will move the Worscter Sharks to San Jose.
*Edmonton will move the rights of the Oklahoma City Barons to Bakersfield.
*Los Angeles will move the Manchester Monarchs to Ontario, California.
*Calgary will move the Adirodnack Flames (after just one year there) to Stockton.
The idea is that some of these markets will get ECHL replacements, like Adirodnack and Norfolk, while some of the others will try and replace the abandoned teams with other unstable clubs, like the Albany Devils.

So this happened to Henrik Lundqvist last night He finished the game like nothing happened. Reminds me of the time when Niklas Bäckström got a slapshot through the cage of the mask and hit him in the forehead. Left a trail of blood as he skated to the bench to get stitches. Thankfully the team he played in, Kärpät, had a decent back-up goalie in Pekka Rinne. |

I hate the Kings. I hate them so much. idk if I could hate one of my teams if they won 2 championships in 3 years...... Yeah, but you're not of fan of the '14-'15 Kings. They're f***ing awful right now. For the sake of the players that really matter, they should just pack it in for the year. Sell at the deadline and retool this off-season. This team just doesn't have it this year. |

I always laugh at fanbases that have a really good team and tons of recent success and treat their teams in a cup or bust mentality. Meanwhile I just want to watch a meaningful hockey game past November
