Yes, in the late 70's, then in Memphis and then through Canada. He was part of the Heartbreakers with Rocky Sortor, and held the AWA Southern Tag Team Championship for one week in 1981 (won it from Eddie Gilbert and Ricky Morton, lost it to the brothers Robert and Ricky Gibson).
