the Bane comparisons had me thinking that perhaps we've overlooked something simple and that each member of the Flood represents a Batman villain.

Beyond the obvious Sinn Bodhi/Joker comparisons and their latest "friend" basically being Bane, do they really represent Batman villains?

It sounded like an Engel remix. I don't know exactly what the Pickett theme sounds like to be fair. They have it on Itunes, and it doesn't sound as good as the Engel remix Chikara does. Hell, I'm still trying to find a version that has the female chorus at the beginning instead of the whistle. |

I guess I didn't literally mean that every member had to represent someone. Like Sinn as Joker with his two guys just representing the type of henchmen that the Joker would normally keep around would be a fine comparison.

If the Titan is a new guy as is Nokken, then plus the Devastation Corporation and of course Tursas, then Chikara's really had a lot of big guys come in recent years.
It's amazing that despite having the largest heel group in history, everyone has their own motivation.
-The Titan is a creation of Titor Conglomerate and the on-field general so to speak. He might be the guy referenced in the NPA blog posts who did Titor' dirty work across the globe.
-Jimmy Jacobs is like a Colonel, he was selected by Titor as the second-in-command, bringing together the different factions with the one goal to destroy Chikara. He's naturally crazy and wanting to destroy every wrestling company he's ever been a part of, thus making him a veteran of many heel takeovers and suited for the role.
-The Colony Xtreme Force are WMD Corp shills who will do what they're told without question, but they also want to shill merch.
-Sidney Backabella's Wrecking Crew are hired guns who don't have a long history with Chikara, but are monsters under the management of Backabella, the classic slimeball who will work for the highest bidder.
-The BDK are out for revenge, especially Ares and Tursas, after being vanquished from Chikara and losing the Eye of Tyr, easily persuaded to join the cause.
-Gekido are the bitter former trainees who were systematically taken out by Quackenbush (which alienated Jigsaw) and are back for revenge, another easy persuasion as Chikara represents everything they're bitter about.
-Dr Cube and his Posse are evil monsters who are predispositioned to do evil things. Plus Cube has inside information of Ultramantis Black and operations, plus a history with the Eye of Tyr.
-Sinn Bodhi provided the Batiri for Ultramantis Black in exchange for the Eye of Tye and never got it. UMB then fooled him into thinking he had it, but I'm guessing Bodhi figured it out and thus was an easy recruit.
With the Eye of Tyr destroyed, that rustles the jimmies of Bodhi, Ares and Cube even more. Now with UMB as a technico, he's a part of the Chikara locker room and thus protected by everyone else. As far as those division leaders are concerned, Chikara is just as guilty as UMB now.

Sheesh, poor Envoy. From one group of giants beating them up to another one. They might actually have a better chance this time around. If last Saturday was any indication, the Dev Corp aren't invincible (especially if Bakabella's ejected) and Oleg's fairly easy to distract with shiny objects. Giving Crossbones and/or Blind Rage a call would help as well. |
