Do you think we'll get a crappy version of it, for $5/month more than the Americans?
Crappy as in fewer available shows and/or less bandwidth.

I have no doubt we'll get a crappier version of it. Just look at the UK version of Netflix.

Well, less bandwidth thanks to the fine media companies here in Canada of course. I'm not sure, I hope that's not the case. I would be one of the buyers to be honest, because right now, I don't have cable and I don't plan on getting cable. But, I'd like to have random WWE in the background or watch some of the stuff. I do hope we get some shows. Apparently, WCCW is really good on there and they're showing old episodes of that.
But yeah, I'm guessing the price will be higher because they're probably going to raise the price for everybody, and by the time it gets to Canada, we'll get the new price. But again, I don't watch cable so it's not that big deal for it to be extra for me.

What they really need to do is get rid of the only 720p bollocks.

Probably without getting PPVs included. Which will suck.

Yeah I imagine it'll be awful. If we got the same version the Americans got for the same price (adjusting for exchange rates) I'd jump right on that. But we won't so I won't.

Possibly. Maybe it'll be like Netflix where we have less selections then US Netflix but it's only 8 bucks a month rather than 15 bucks a month

Canada should be basically the same as US, but not sure how the PPV's will work over in the UK etc. because they have contracts with TV channels over there to air the PPV's do they not?

It's still a PPV service to watch most of them, occasionally a less eventful PPV will be free but you still need the Sky Sports package which is usually a little extra dough on top of your Sky subscription. They may merge WWE Network with Sky's on-demand service and then we may also get Raw and Smackdown.

If they were going to limit or change it in any way I would have expected us to have access by now. The only reason I can see for us having to wait so long is so they can ensure we get the same deal.

I'd expect Sky in the UK will play the "exclusivity Card". With NFL Gamepass in this country Sky Sports order a 48 hour Blackout of the games they show on the Sky Sports channels, so I can see them flexing their muscle and demanding something similar with the Network.
My big concern is the situation with the PPVs, if the UK Network is Sans Live PPVs then Id seriously have to reconsider my subscription.

The fact WWE renewed their deal with Sky a few months ago and it included moving all PPVs to Sky Box Office (if I'm not making things up), I'd imagine that the UK WWE Network won't have live PPVs (but it might have them on demand immediately after).
In Canada, I don't think TV shows should be a problem (even if they're not on the network, they're available for free on Sportnet's website) and I'd be surprised if PPV companies would pose a problem for getting PPVs on the network.

I'm more interested in the archive material than the new stuff anyway, to be honest. Like with Netflix, I will likely get it and judge for myself, because I love Netflix UK despite its relative lack of material because it has a handful of things I DO love and can't get anywhere else.

I see there being no NXT, a month+ delay on PPVs and Sky having the right of first refusal over any major new programs the WWE create over the course of the deal. There'll also be adverts from day one (Mostly for Sky) and the price will be the inevitable increased price for the US market, with the $ sign swapped for £ because that's generally how it goes.

I just want the archive, NXT & original content
Not the stagnant shit we get nowadays in Raw/Smackdown/PPV's

Man, if half of the shit you guys are predicting comes true WWE can pretty much say goodbye to the Network.

EDIT: It's a week behind, but it basically covers everything new the Network doesn't in terms of Raw and SD.

I think since WWE owns all their own footage, it should be decent........I hope.

I'm not breaking any rules by saying that it's freakin awesome am I? I haven't discussed how to get it, so I think I can say how freakin awesome it is. Actually that makes me wonder... I'm getting sidetracked I'll make a new thread.
