These things really just have to happen every now and then. Look at all the people who have emerged since the last purge. Wyatts, Bo Dallas, Rusev, Xavier Woods, Paige, Summer Rae, Adam Rose, with plenty of fresh talent in NXT with maybe more coming like Steen, KENTA, and Devitt.

That's pretty much the reason why it's so upsetting. Because those of us who actually did care for these talents won't be able to continue watching their work. Ehh, it depends. I know you live in Hawaii so postage may be pretty steep but most of these guys will likely either end up doing the indie circuit which is expensive but not especially hard to follow or they'll end up with Jarrett. I worry that Jarrett won't take these guys out of the fear that taking on a bunch of "WWE rejects" will "doom" GFW to becoming "LOLTNA 2". And even then, we won't get to see them on TV until some time next year. And because of WWE's stingy trademark clauses, I doubt that the indy promoters would even be allowed to tape their matches for DVDs, unless they became completely different from what endeared them to myself and other members of the "WWE Universe" in the first place. I'd be happy for the performers having jobs, but it just wouldn't be the same. |

Ehh, it depends. It's not like back in the day when WWE came up with a different gimmick for a guy and we're supposed to ignore it (Issac Yankem to Kane for example) or a guy reinventing himself in a new company (Derrick Bateman to EC3), it's just copyright. Brother/Bully Ray is still the same Bubba Ray gimmick, Kurtis Hawkins is still Curt Hawkins, etc, Jayson The Gangster will still be JTG, Zachary Rider, etc. |
