Funny thing is he doesn't get the ending either I always assumed Mark Wahlberg's character thought he was propelled into the future and tried to use the same wormhole/storm/whatever to go back in time and ended up being propelled even further into the future of the ape world. I just assume that it was Burton's version of the "It was our planet! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!" ending that the original PoTA had.

I didn’t read the book so when I went to see Ender’s Game I was going in cold. I can’t remember a movie ending that made me more angry than that one.

Wasn't confusing, but I'd say The Mist. It's a pretty messed up ending that even Stephen King said he liked better than his version. Another one I'd say would be Snowpiercer, because I didn't think it really made sense. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}He goes through traversing the entire train and has a chance to actually take over, but rather than try to actually make some changes for the good, he chooses the option that kills everybody on the train and the human race altogether. Yeah, at least two people survived, but I don't think he had that in mind. I just find it hard to believe he was convinced to blow the train after a 10 minute conversation with a complete stranger.

So many, but the first that jumps to mind is "Phase IV", a 70's man-vs.-nature battle where a team of 2 scientists tries to investigate an ant infestation. Fantastic story but the end suffers because of lack of budget and trying to put an "Age of Aquarius"-ish SF twist on it.

The Deer Hunter {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I still don't know what Michael Cimino was trying to say by having them sing God Bless America right before the credits roll He was saying, "I have no idea what I'm doing. I'll prove it with every subsequent movie I make."

American Psycho. Didn't know what was going on the whole movie, then it ended without resolving anything. WTF. Syriana and Jacob's Ladder are the same.

The Wages of Fear. I get what Clouzot was going for but it was so abrupt and jarring. William Friedkin handled it much better in his remake, Sorcerer.
The Dark Knight Rises. An angry WTF for me. The one-two punch of "See, he's Robin! That makes everything better!!" and Nolan and/or Warner Brothers feeling audiences were too stupid to know what Alfred was smiling about did me in completely.

No country for old men. Great f'n movie and then it just ended with Tommy Lee Jones dream story. I expected something grander than that. Now that ive watched it a million times i get it and understand why it ended that way, but that first viewing was a big WTF!

That whole movie makes one say WTF?, not just the ending. But that's why I love it. The Black Hole, on the other hand...
