So, Lashley has been pretty damn great as a killer monster heel now that he's got someone to talk for him. Discuss.

This is the best role for him, emphasizing his strengths(powerhouse who's also fast & athletic for his size), while covering his weakness(not that good at promos, so people who are, like MVP, talk for him).

Lashley has a natural presence and credibility sorely lacking in TNA. And he's a solid competitor. I thought he would have been a better choice for babyface champion than EY, but he is doing well as a monster heel champ.

Agreed. This is Lashley's ideal role and he is hitting it out of the park right now by just looking like a killer and letting MVP do all the talking. He is being booked more credible than any world champion in recent history for TNA.

Pretty surprised that TNA have used their brains for once and acknowledged that the guy can't talk and as such they don't have him talk. When he came to confront Hardy, I was sure Lashley had a mic in his hand and I was like "Noooo! Don't do this!". Fortunately he didn't.
They showed him training, showing how ripped he is. Continue in that vein. Next thing they should do is have him destroy guys whether it ends in DQ or no DQ. Watch Vader tapes.

I was disappointed when I saw EY lose the title to Lashley and was pretty certain that Bobby's reign was going to suck but consider me pleasantly surprised. The dude just looks like a champion and MVP was gold for him tonight in that video promo.

They're booking him a lot better than he's ever been, in WWE or TNA. WWE wanted him be a cool badass and tell jokes (Bathturd, my dad's uncle) but that was never gonna happen because he sounds like a f***ing 5 year old. Just have him wreck shit and let a manager talk for him, it worked for Lesnar and it's working for Lashely right now.

We rip on TNA all the time when the do crap, and rightfully so, but I will give them all the credit for doing something that most thought was impossible, making Bobby Lashley look like a bona fide heel champion.

I hope they keep it up. I can hardly picture a better use of Lashley that works with what he has going for him and minimizes his weaknesses. Good job to everyone involved.

His WWE run showed that he wasn't capable of being a cool badass face. The "silent killer heel with a hint of prima donna" role is perfect for him, and unlike EY he looks like a threat out of the gate.

To be fair to Eric, he was still probably booked stronger than Magnus, who could almost give Sabin a run for his money as worst booked champion, sometimes. I'm just waiting for the nepotism. You know he's going to want TNA to give his brother Dan a job.

That Dude Lashley is a wrecking machine. He makes that Bull Dempsey guy running around WWE as the Wrecking Ball look like an even bigger joke and proves why TNA is the superior product.

To Lashley's credit he has improved his in-ring character work. He really looked like a dick against EY last week. Between that and MVP's great mic-work Lashley is actually interesting now. Like many I wasn't big on bringing the guy back but props to all involved for actually making this work.

I'm digging the Freebird like set up with these three, with Lashley as the powerful muscle, MVP as the talker, and King as the quick technical one (most likely to get beaten up by the babyfaces).

MVP getting hurt is probably the best thing that could have happened, because otherwise we'd be getting champ MVP cutting non-stop promos weekly about nothing in particular. Wrecking Machine Lashley is much more interesting.

The problem isn't with Lashley but with his complete lack of build to being the World Champion. I can't remember anything else memorable he's done since he came back besides... coming back. And joining MVP. He hasn't had any notable feuds, matches, or anything.

And joining MVP. He hasn't had any notable feuds, matches, or anything. To be honest, no buildup and being on the roster for a minute is the best thing that's happening to him. He's a clean slate and untainted from the really bad booking that TNA is known for.
