While watching NXT via Roku a few weeks ago, I noticed that I could actually skip to the end of the episode during the first airing of the episode. I missed the very beginning of the episode, so I selected 'Start from beginning.' Knowing I was behind the 'live feed' I skipped ahead of the movie trailers, Raw recaps, etc. Trying to see how far away I was from the live feed, I decided to let the show fast-forward as much as it could and realized I could skip ahead to the end of the show, even though the live feed had not gotten there yet.
I tried this again this week and I was able to do the same thing. If you finish a program early, you cannot go on and watch the next scheduled show. You will go to the 'live stream' which is where you would have been if you had watched it without skipping ahead.
Therefore, if you are watching recorded material on the 'live stream' and you want to be able to skip movie trailers, Raw recaps, etc, or if there is anything you want to be able to skip, you can do this by selecting 'watch from beginning.'
It should go without saying that this is only possible for programs that have been taped in advance and is not possible for live or near-live programs.
