Well there goes a huge blow to everyone's wish of the first Playoff being Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida State, and Auburn/Bama. I didn't think Ohio State was going to make it even if Miller isn't hurt. They lost their top runningback, most of their O-Line, and they've got games at Penn State, and at Michigan State. If Miller is out have to make MSU the con favorite. Barrett is a talented kid but frosh usually have growing-pains and coming-out of East Lansing with a W was going to be tough as-is. Even with Miller, I'd still pick Sparty. They've got a favorable schedule, and that defense.

I have faith that Braxton will be okay. Still, this really sucks that we have no real de facto backup. Guiton's gone, and Hyde's not here to shoulder the load. If he's still able to play, then this'll have taught us to understand the importance of a backup. If not, then f*** it, it's us against the odds. I have faith in this team, Braxton or no Braxton. Still, this is like a punch to the gut, especially considering he brought us into the Meyer era.

On Miller's injury and OSU being f'd, Ohio state is one of those schools that attract top quality athletes. Urban Meyer attracts top quality athletes. So his back up is likely a four star recruit with the benefit of the awesome facilities and coaching that a program like OSU has. So I'm calling them F'd. Their plan is, but you never know until the ball is snapped.
Red Impact, to answer your message on page 7, I am happy bc they were being written off by analysts during the off season simply because Manziel left. I said again and again that they'd be fine w/o him. I agree with you about preseason polls. I stood on this one to call out the analysts and experts who wanted to cry doom and gloom and who are suddenly on board with the projection. For my part, I think they will finish in the top 25.

Sucks if Miller is out and you have to play a newb but those things just happen. I sure wouldn't have burned Barrett's shirt last year to get a little mop-up duty. It wouldn't have helped too much in the first place and it's the kind of move that often burns you later-on. Quincy Enunwa killed for us last year and we should still have him but we ill-advisedly played him as a true frosh for what turned-out to be just token reps.

Every Michigan fan got a mysterious hard-on and most have no idea why. This Michigan fan feels awful for Braxton Miller. However, I shed no tears for OSU.

There is "significant friction" between Louisville HC Bobby Petrino and DC Todd Grantham, according to sources close to SI's Thayer Evans and Pete Thamel.
"The two have feuded often since Grantham’s hiring in January," the duo reports. "So much that one source insists Petrino would have already gotten rid of Grantham if not for his guaranteed five-year contract that pays him nearly $1 million annually."

Still don't think they are boned completely. That is a deep team and you don't get recruited to play for Urban Meyer at The Ohio State university because you are average. Johnny Manziel, Cam Newton, Jason White, Vince Young, Joe Montana, Andrew Luck all had zero snaps but burst out once the shot was theirs. Until proven otherwise, they are still dangerous. Same with Notre Dame

Honestly doesn't change my opinion of OSU that much for the season. Figured they'd lose two games and not be in the playoff. Now I guess three games and still not in the playoff?

I guess if there's a silver lining it's that we get one more year of Braxton now. Still, it sucks that this had to happen so suddenly. I still think we make the playoff, but I'm admittedly biased.

An Icelandic volcano named Bardarbunga is on the verge of erupting. If it does, the ash will cancel a bunch of flights next week to Europe.

They will simply move the game to....oh wait...its Ireland? Nice try boys but I think this is God's way of saying he is fine with Notre Dame playing in Ireland but not a school still serving penance for their role in covering up molestation.

Speaking of Penn State molestation, I had to go to work so I couldn't stick around and listen but did anyone get to listen to Jay. Paterno on Sirius 91 today?
