In terms of hilarity, nothing beats Great Lakes Avengers or She-Hulk, except maybe Marvel Romance Redux (which I heartily recommend everyone buy).
As for great comics, well, I started re-reading Watchmen for the umpteenth time. And I guess Identity Crisis was pretty good for a Squadron Supreme rip-off.

Preacher was the only thing that kept me interested in comics in the late 90's. Once in a while i will pick a graphic novel of things I heard were good and read them, The last one I did that with was the first few issues of the crow, now i always loved the first movie but the comic was just as good if not better to me.

I haven't read too many since the mid 90's. Some of the best that I had ever read are as follows: The Knight's End, Knight's Fall, and Prodigal Son series for Batman produced several good storylines. The Death of Superman (those last several pages were powerful) The two Ace issues of the Amazing Spiderman from the 80's The Elseworlds issue where it was the Waynes instead of the Kents that found Kal-El (Superman as Batman, basically) The extremely rare (and the one I want to get again. Where did mine go? I wish I knew) anti-drug special for the Teen Titans from the early 80's. The story would get interupted every 12 pages or so for a full-page testimony by one of the characters in the issue. The character would talk about how drugs had affected their life. The most interesting of those testimonies was by Titan member Speedy (later known as Arsenal). For those who don't know, Speedy was basically Green Arrow's Robin, but he later became a drug addict. Is that that rare? I've got both of them... I'm a big mark for the Persuader. The best recent comic I read was Infinite Crisis, and the best older one I've read recently is The Golden Age. There's two of those specials? And, yeah, either it is rare or the owner of the shop that I went to was too lazy to order it when he said that he tried.
