I can't agree with this being true. Being that AJ Styles is the NJPW World Champion over there. Prince Devitt again was champion over there. Brock Lensar went over there as became champion before he decided to do whatever he did to make that title the 3rd Gen deal. Giant Bernard (A-train) was booked like a total monster over there and with Tomko dominated tag team wrestling for a good while. AJ Styles and the Bullet Club are dominating NJPW right now, but doing so in a way that still makes the local guys look good. Bullet Club matches are so full of interference that I had difficulty even telling how good Prince Devitt was as a wrestler by watching his Bullet Club era matches - all I remembered was the formula where the other guy had Devitt dead to rights, distraction, interference, Devitt turns the match around and gets a win. The whole Bullet Club gimmick is designed to give the foreginers a prominent role without ever implying that they're on the same level as the home guys. This is all without even pointing out that the Bullet Club is a very recent game-changer by bookers who happen to really love bringing in American wrestlers. Even Giant Bernard, the most successful foreigner of the 00's, was never a feature player. Always a big deal, but you're looking at Japan's Umaga, not their Batista or Undertaker. Stan Hansen is the true exception, I'd estimate. Plus Hulk Hogan, Bruiser Brody, Terry & Dory Funk, Jr., Vader, Gary Albright, Steve Williams, Mike Awesome, Bob Sapp, and even Tiger Jeet Singh (who I'm pretty sure doesn't know how to work at all). Hell, Horace Boulder was over in FMW... Actually, Japan loves their gaijin wrestlers, just as long as they show either respect or are absolute crazies it seems.
