The Steamboat/Savage match from Superstars. I also got a ring w/ the old thumb wrestlers shortly thereafter.

My dad watched it before I was born and after when I was just a little babe just at the precise moment that the whole Rock N' Wrestling thing took off.

My dad watched it when SCSA was around, so I watched it then, but what got me into it recently was the game HCTP.

My cousin was an independent wrestler, and I went to all his shows in north Georgia, until Big Van Vader broke his back in '92, and I've been hooked ever since.

We were watching it at home with my mom and, sometimes, my uncle back in the early 80s, but we weren't following it religiously, as it didn't have a regular schedule until 87, so it was kinda random.
Nobody/nothing really got me into it, it was just a "habit" that grew on me.

My uncle got me into wrestling when I was about 9 years old. He took my cousins and I to an AWA event in the Twin Cities that featured Nick Bockwinkle vs Rick Martel. After that, I was hooked.

Wrestlemania III, Hogan vs. Andre. That was the hot talk on the playground at elementary school, and I HAD to see it.

I was a kid in the 1980s, a requirement was to be a Hulkamaniac.

Not too sure about what got me into wrestling, but what kept me into wrestling was 1996 WWF. I was so intrigued by all the different gimmicks clashing, like pretty boy Shawn Michaels vs. deranged boiler room freak Mankind, or walking dead Undertaker vs. movie loving weirdo Goldust, I loved it

Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a hotbed of wrestling and hometown to many superstars during the 80's didn't hurt. Seeing Ted Dibiase in the local Albertsons wasn't the most uncommon thing to see. I had a cousin that set me straight so I was more of a Flair fan growing up. Thank god for family.
