I remember sitting perched on my great grandfather's knee and watchign the Freebird's vs. The Von Erichs, then after he passed on I'd watch it with my grandpa. Unfortuantly he passed on earlier this year so I'm just about the only one left in the family who does watch.

When I was about 6 or 7, and in 1st grade, I had a friend that liked wrestling, I didnt really know what it was at that point. I would go over to his house to play with our Batman action figures, and each time he would throw in some of his wrestling figures, eventually he showed me some wrestling tapes and from the I was hooked. It was in late 1991 I believe. He moved away about a year later and I havent heard from him since then.
But I owe it all to him that Ive had a big passion like wrestling in my life the last 15 or so years.

My granny who lived in Maine got me started. My family took a trip there when I was 9 and she would watch it all the time. She gave me my first wrestling magazine. I watched from the end of '89 up until the end of '98 and then I had enough. I don't hate wrestling all together but hate "sports entertaiment" wrestling. She continued to watch until she died a few years ago. It was still real to her, that I know for sure.

I was born in Texas. It's pretty much in my DNA. I was watching wrestling before I could walk. I wonder what great matches I watched without even realizing it. I was a WCCW mark while I was in diapers.

My dad and Uncle got me into wrestling. They had a bunch of AWA tapes and would watch the all the time. I was a casual fan until WM 12 Ironman match. God, I was such a mark for HBK back in the day. And I've been watching ever since.

I first got into it when I was flipping through the channels and got to tbs and saw the diamond studd in a match and decided it looked cool and got hooked after the main event with the stinger himself in it, then we moved and didn't have cable for a few years and around 95 my freind got me into it again and got me watchin wcw and alittle wwf, this is when I became a huge hall mark, and I was watching both every week until wcw went under then I started watching wwe and hoping the aliance would crush wwe, though I knew it wouldn't happen as by this time I had become a bit of a smark, as well as ordering the new nwa-tna ppvs, I stopped watching wwe for a while after hall was fired again watching only tna on it's weekly ppvs, then about a year and a half ago I started watching wwe again, so the main reasons I'm into wrestling these days are my best friend from grade school, hall, and sting

My dad. When I was about 2 years old, I was walking around the house, testing out my legs. Thankfully, my dad had it on wrestling and was watching it when he was supposed to be watching me. Aaaaanyhoo, I was walking towards him when wrestling (or the old WWF) caught my eye. I stopped, sat down, and started watching. After that, I was hooked.
And Honky Tonk Man also helped make my decision.

I think it was a Warrior vs. Jobber match sometime in '90. All of those awkward neon colors have a certain effect on the brain of a 3 year old, I guess. Ever since then, I was hooked.

Friends of my mom would come over on Saturdays and bring their kids. Well the kids watched wrestling and I didn't. Being the good hosts that we were, they got their way and watched wrestling. So they're all cheering for the Four Horsemen and even more for the Midnight Express. I took the most annoying and antagonizing route that I could.. Went with the Rock N Roll Express. Soon I was hooked. TBS 6:05 PM to 8:05 PM every Saturday.. NWA damn I'm old

One of my earliest memories, actually. My mom used to watch Superstars after my Saturday morning cartoons were over. I used to hate it because, well, I wanted to watch cartoons. Then one morning, I must've been 4 or 5, I walked into the living room and on the TV was the most important promo I've ever seen in my life...
...a promo by the Bushwhackers. Yes, I was introduced to wrestling by Luke and Butch.

Soon I was hooked. TBS 6:05 PM to 8:05 PM every Saturday.. NWA damn I'm old I remember watching before they went to that :05 thing. I'm feeling the age too, my friend. I think I was always partial to NWA rather than WWF, I was never (and still am not) a big fan of Hogan's. I think my favorite was Mid-South which became UWF and later merged into JCP. I was a huge mark for Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Before he went to the WWF, he didn't have the flag, he didn't go HOOOOOOO! USA USA USA! ad nauseum (another reason for me to not like WWF as much) but he would just cut great promos and kick ass in the ring. TOUGH GUY! I also cheered for Dr. Death Steve Williams, Jake Roberts, and Ted DiBiase. If I had to list them in order of favorites it would be: Mid-South/UWF WCW (before that became a company, when it was just the name of the show) WWF World Class on ESPN (especially the old shows) AWA (very distant last) I remember going to a WWF house show in Joplin, MO back in the Mid-80's with my Dad (he couldn't stand wrestling, but knew how much I loved it so he would take me to some house shows) This was a definate "C" show. The main event for the night was Tito Santana vs. a recently gone (literally a few weeks after his debut on WWF television) from the UWF Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Jake was a face in UWF but as most of you know started as a heel in the WWF. Well, Tito "missed" the match and Jake ended up wrestling Moondog Spot. The hilarious part was that when Jake was announced and the crowd popped HUGE for him, he just looked at the ref and shrugged. That was a big turning point for me as a little 11-12 year old mark to see someone portrayed as a "bad guy" get cheered more than any other "good guy" that night. I fully admit to still being a mark (It's truly still real to me dammit, even though I know better) and will totally love watching wrestling to my dying days.....zombie or no zombie.

I got started on the Mid-South stuff as well. I can't remember the earliest viewings of it, but the one that really hooked me was the 1985 tuxedo match between Duggan and DiBiase, with DiBiase going into the parking lot after losing, looking for Duggan's car. Funny how the part of the angle that had nothing to do with actual wrestling is what hooked me.

My father and grandfather would watch WWF all the time, so they got me into it.
It was the time when Duggan and the Bushwhackers were popular.
I still remember an episode of WCW where there was a steel cage, then all this smoke rolled in, and when the smoke cleared, the Ultimate Warrior was right in the middle of the ring sitting on a chair.

I really would like to see the WWE come out with a best of Mid-South/UWF dvd set.

I got into it kinda late, around the time SCSA was just starting to get big. I stumbled upon one of those weekend shows and saw some of his antics in his feud with Bret Hart. I was pretty much hooked after that.

Initially when I was a young Kid the whole Mega Powers/ Elizabeth drama...later on and I kid you not, The Ultimate Warrior returning to wrestlemania 12 got me back into watching wrestling. Soon after that the NWO came around and since then(maybe a time or two lol) I really cant remember missing a week of monday night wrestling
