"Ben Elton has plans for a movie version of Blackadder, set during the Russian revolution." Source - chortle (highly reliable and popular comedy website and one that matters with Edinburgh reviews).
It will be interesting to see how this will work outside of England (presumably) and with Hugh Laurie's schedule for House.
Hopefully this will prove to be more forthcoming than the Red Dwarf movie that has been about to start production for the last 5 years.

Well I hope its better than 'Blackadder: Back & Forth' man that sucked.
I'm seeing Ben Elton's stand up show when it comes to Melbourne next month. Should be good. I have always loved Elton's stand up comedy.

That was intended as a history lesson for people who visited the Millenium Dome, though (thanks for wasting taxpayer's money, Mr. Blair ). I'm not sure a Blackadder movie would work. I mean, like ECW, I think it should be left alone, lest they sully it's memory.
