I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy tonight and, aside from being blown away by how unbelievably good it was, it dawned on me that Batista went straight from getting nuclear "go away" heat to showing some great acting chops as a sympathetic character in a very beloved flick. I can't help but wonder if Drax will affect Boo-tista.

It would be a great re-jumping on point to set him up as a face the way the company wanted to earlier in the year. Just play up his noble destroyer act from the movie. But, it won't happen because Dave works better as a heal.

If they try to cram him down everyone's throats like last time, they'll still turn on him.

He can play all the good guys he wants on the big screen. No matter how good he is at that, he'll always be a better bad guy in the world of wrestling.

Crazy how much he's loathed in the wrestling world, but is now beloved in the movie world. And it took connecting him to a highly obscure comic book character to do it. What can I say...believe in Marvel!

I can't help but wonder if Drax will affect Boo-tista. He does rule in the movie, very funny stuff. Though we've gotta give some credit to director/writer James Gunn for that too. I personally don't think Drax would have much effect on his reception in arenas. But I'd be cool with more Batista, just hopefully not main eventing and not squashing people who could use a push.

I wanna see the evolution triple threat which HHH teased before WM , I think this would be a good headlining match at mania 31

I hope he stays heel.
His mic skills are too douchey to ever be face again.

I can't believe that music will ever result in a face pop again.

providing he isn't co-opting Daniel Bryan's push again I think he'd get a pretty good reaction again.

Based on how he was written out and just due to sheer need, I can see them trying to bring him back as a face. No clue how well it'll work, though.
If nothing else, maybe we'll get Batista / Lesnar out of it. That'd be a fun one that people've pretty much been wanting to see ever since Batista joined Evolution.

I thought this would be about Batista's own reaction to returning.....

The same as last time, initial cheers as people are glad to see him back, followed by boos because he's just more fun that way, nobody needs to see face Batista. Hopefully the hate will just be a little less venomous this time around as the circumstances will be different, I think it already was after Wrestlemania.
I'm also pretty sure that only a low percentage of an average Raw crowd will have even seen the film.

Better question is what the hell does he do when he comes back? Is he gonna face Lesnar at some point? Besides that, what can he do?

I thought this would be about Batista's own reaction to returning..... I concur. He'll walk out and say "Da f*** am I? None of you are racoon's or trees!"

I thought he signed a 2 year deal, which would put him until like Mania 32

Gotta say I loved 2005-2008 SmackDown babyface hero Batista, and if he were to return soon, he could probably play the face in a feud against Randy Orton. But if they want to keep him in the main event, he may have to be heel.
