Maybe due to technology, or lack of interest.
For instance, I used to buy magazines a LOT, especially wrestling, but with the internet and the fact that we will soon be down to just Pro Wrestling Illustrated and I'm just not a fan of the current product, I'm done.
Music magazines are about the same, as I'm not into the current product and I have about given up on the compilation magazines listing an artist's "greatest songs" or some shit. I don't care about some opinion and as for the rest of them, I could be writing the stuff with what I already know.
DVDs-I don't know if I'll ever buy another one, unless I buy it from the subject and it's autographed.
CDS-the same-I'm over having a physical product now. I just don't care. A vinyl record album-that's different.
This should somehow be saving me money.
So what about you?

It blows my mind that magazines are still a thing. I guess that enough people are still buying them, but why?

Stopped buying newspapers, get everything online now, and with being in charge of social media engagement in my department at work I'm on Twitter etc a lot so see a lot of news during the day.

Music.
Now I just buy Spotify Premium on a discounted price since I am a college student and listen off my phone/laptop. Much less expensive than buying whole albums. And I don't have to pirate.

Physical video games.
I play PC only these days and Steam and other online shops are the only way I buy games anymore.

Many major artists despise Spotify and would rather their music be pirated instead (Spotify does not pay them very well) as for the topic, VHS tapes.

Anyway music and movies are the big ones. I quit buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards about 2 years ago mainly because it dawned on me that if you were not spending $300+ on a deck, then you were not going to win any duels on a competitive level. Also Yu-Gi-Oh economics and community did not do me any favors.

Newspapers and magazines. I don't think I'll ever stop buying physical copies of music, movies, books, or video games, though.

Toilet paper. Ever since my wife bought a toilet brush. They take a little getting used to, but once you've built up a callus its all good.

This thread makes me realize that I don't actually buy anything anymore. I mean I buy clothes and food, and I have a Ford Escape I'm still paying off, but I don't buy "stuff".
In fact, I hate stuff. Stuff takes up space. In my living room we have a tv, a couch, a coffee table, and some art on the walls. There's no shelves with a bunch of crap like books, CDs, dvds, etc.

The last CD I bought was one of Ash's albums after I saw them at Download 2008. Don't see me ever buying one again. If I want to listen to music I just put a playlist on youtube.
DVD's. I use Netflix for my movies and TV shows now rendering DVD's irrelevant.
Books. Now I've got a kindle, the last paperback book I bought was Battle Royale about 3 years ago. I just use my Kindle now. Quicker, easier and cheaper. I doubt I'll buy a paperback again unless its a cheap one from a market or carboot.
I do however still buy physical copies of games because I like the option of trading them in once I've completed. Something you don't get with digital copies. Plus, I don't like the fact that digital downloads are sometimes more expensive than the disk copy. I got The Last of Us new today for $1390 TW Dollars from a store. It's $1500 from PS Network I think. Which is baffling, surely it makes sense to sell the digital copy cheaper since they're not producing disks, cases or having to distribute games everywhere.
