I got the Network yesterday and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for any 'Must watch' PPV's? Preferably WWE from 1996-2010.

Bash at the Beach 2000. It's soooo good.

Bash at the Beach 2000. It's soooo good. I actually watched this on Sunday. If I only have one regret in life, this would be it.

Serious answer
WWF King of the Ring 1996
It's an example of how, even with a depleted roster, the WWF could still book an incredible entertaining show that told a broadcast-long story maximizing the strengths of everyone involved.
EDIT: Plus Owen Hart on commentary.
Also, if you're looking for pay-per-views where the entire event warrants a watch, I'd also suggest No Way Out 2009. I can't tell you why without spoiling it, but seriously, the entire three hour broadcast is filled with quality action and just keep building through the end with one strong narrative.

From all replies I've learned that I definitely gotta check Bash at the beach 2000 out. That sounds hilarious.
And tonights viewing before NXT-Superstars will be No Way Out 2009. Cheers guys.

I'm sure I'll be missing some
WrestleMania XII In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede Survivor Series 98 (not good as far as match quality, but the best written show from top to bottom of the Attitude Era) Royal Rumble 2000 WrestleMania X7 King of the Ring 2001 Summerslam 2002 No Mercy 2002 WrestleMania XIX No Way Out 2004 WrestleMania XX Backlash 2004 ECW One Night Stand 2005 (not sure if this should be counted or not) ECW One Night Stand 2006 (see above)
So much of late 2004 through most of 2010 is so hit and miss that it is hard to label anything as a "must see". For every one good match you get three that are "just ok". For every one "great, must see" match, you get two that are boring.
This is all off the top of my head, though. If I were to go back and look at each individual card, I could come up with several others (especially the 2007-2010 era).

It's WCW but I'd recommend Bash at the Beach 96 just for the historical aspect of it.

I've never seen it, but popular consensus is that The Great American Bash 1996 is one to check out.

I've never seen it, but popular consensus is that The Great American Bash 1996 is one to check out. Mostly a crap show, but Malenko vs. Mysterio and Benoit vs. Sullivan (with Dusty's best commentary ever) are completely worth watching. I'd just skip over everything else.

Must watch doesn't mean good PPVs right?
start watching all of the Uncensored PPVs. There are some really really bad PPVs but some pretty good ones too.
Also I have been going thru watching all the old Summerslams, early on some bad PPVs. Then the cards and shows got amazing. Now it looks like they are on the low again again

Great American Bash '89 is one of the greatest professional wrestling pay-per-views ever. Highly recommended.

Survivor Series 1998 - Commonly known as Russo's finest hour. An absolute shining example of writing and booking. Multiple storylines coming together to create a fast paced, entertaining and crazy PPV.

Great American Bash '89 is one of the greatest professional wrestling pay-per-views ever. Highly recommended. Watched that last week. Pretty darn good show, even though I kinda zoned out during Lex Luger vs. "Flyin' Brian" (Pillman).

Pretty darn good show, even though I kinda zoned out during Lex Luger vs. "Flyin' Brian" (Pillman). Wrong show. Luger faced Steamboat, and it's a legitimately classic match. Also, Luger/Pillman had some awesome matches later in 1989. For reference, Pillman faced Bill Irwin at GAB '89, and I could understand the zoning out, because f*** Bill Irwin.

You're right, I was confusing it with Clash IX, which I had also just seen. And yeah, Bill Irwin being in that King Of The Ring Triple Crown Two-Ring Battle Royal was just so odd.
