No, because unlike the Harlem Shake, this has a reason to exist: to help raise awareness for ALS research. There's just one problem here. If the ice water bucket wasn't a thing, no one would care about ALS research. It's much simpler to just donate money. You're describing something as a problem, but I don't see what this problem you're describing actually is. I mean, I get it if none of these people are donating themselves, but the entire point of a public awareness campaign is to, you know, increase public awareness, so more people know about a cause. Even if they only donated because they saw Vince do it... it's money that would not have come in otherwise. |
