The crazy brawls the Nastys had with Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne/Kevin Sullivan made me wonder why they never went to ECW? Granted, they were highly succesful in WWF and WCW, but their style could probably mesh well with ECW, and if it had been after their WWF or WCW runs they would have had some name value as well.

They could probably get over, but whether or not they'd get along with the guys in the back is another. They might have a lack of tolerance for some of their attitude.

I think th eNasty Boys would have worked really well in ECW, they wouldn't get along with anyone backstage but they never do so it's a moot point.
Dudleys vs Nasty Boys would have been good.

I'm not sure they would have wanted to after Paul had the Public Enemy bury their match with Harlem Heat at the first Uncensored on ECW Hardcore TV

I don't think Knobs and Sags would have been unsuccessful, but we'd probably be talking about how the Dudleys, Eliminators, or Pitbulls would have mauled them in the most vicious of ways.
Now Harlem Heat in ECW is something worth discussing.

Harlem Heat in ECW would have been greatness. Those would have been some stiff matches.
I do think the Nastyz would have worked well in ECW.

In theory, yes.
In reality two fat, out of shape guys with a limited wrestling vocab and looking pretty darn mild compared to the rest of the roster - no. Neither could talk either.

I feel safe saying with Heyman's booking they would have been fine in ECW. They had hardcore matches in WCW that weren't too far off from ECW. Much less talented acts than the Nasty Boys did okay in ECW.

Would have been worth it to see New Jack try to kill them for some reason or another

Harlem Heat in ECW would have been greatness. Those would have been some stiff matches. I do think the Nastyz would have worked well in ECW. Oh man, Booker and Stevie in 1997 vs. the Dudley Boyz... that would have kicked ass.

Based on the match they had against Sullivan and Cactus Jack, very underrated imo, it was a brilliant clusterf***, I think they could've had a decent run there, they could've given the rub to other teams like the Dudleys, eliminators, and the gangstas (lol new jack got that win years later). They also had the party attitude to survive the ECW locker room, the only thing going against them is Knobbs, Sags is a pretty level guy, but knobbs just rubs everyone the wrong way.

Axl could wrestle, he just didn't show it that often in ECW. Lance Storm has said that Axl was much, much better in the ring than one would expect, just that most of the time he was hitting people with chairs.

He also said New Jack CAN wrestle, he just defaults to weapons because that is what people want from him.

Ian could also...he was a...ok he couldn't wrestle but he was good businessman.....ok maybe not but he was a decent and honest promoter....a good and faithful husband?...ok he was an asset to the Taco Bell he worked for, he didn't blade on the food or anything.

I would have loved to see Harlem Heat in ECW because I think Stevie Ray could have become a huge fan favorite with his promos.

The Nasty Boys would have fit in just fine with ECW's shitty hardcore style.
