I'm not flaming the author of this thread, but I can see nothing worthwhile in getting someone's autograph. You're just getting them to put their name on a piece of paper.

Sorry, but that's my opinion. It's ok man. I have friends who feel the same way. Ther's something about an autograph to me that makes me gitty.

This used to be my #1 hobby, and as a result, I accumulated more than 3000 sigs through the mail (mostly of baseball players). Got some good ones too. Sold most of 'em on ebay though. How would you get the adresses of said ballplayers. I might try to get some from athletes.

I wouldn't recomend sending to baseball players until spring training though. For retired athletes, I have to recomend stararchive.com again.
