I done been inspired by the Slasher poll!
Have you ever had a dream, and then all of a sudden OMG FREDDY KRUEGER!!!!111!11!!1!
I have. I believe I was in fourth grade, so I had to have been about 9. I was riding a bus, and suddenly, the driver ends up being Freddy, which is how Part 2 begins (and ends) if you remember. He's driving us around, and suddenly it's night time. He then takes us to the woods, and we all start walkin' around, Freddy following us somewhere. I particularly remember an orange glow for some reason, like the glow of a streetlight reflecting it's light. It was creepy.
Nothing happened, as I woke up before anything really happened. Who knows? I might have died that night.
Anyone else?

That happened to me the night I first saw the orginal. By sister decided it would be a good idea to scare me, so she shows me a tape of this movie, and was haunted for days.

Freddy chased me at my old junior high. It was actually a cool dream.
Then there was the dream where he chased me at a Toys R Us.
Good times.

I saw the first Nightmare on Elm Street right after it came out on VHS back in the 80's.
Let's just say I was really young and had nightmares for MONTHS from it.

No, but I have an ex-girlfriend or two who have haunted me in real life.

Once... he kept bragging about how he "got fingered"
It was wildly inappropriate.

Not really Freddy chasing me, but I once had a nightmare a couple of years ago of being in a Blockbuster and having all the DVD covers in the horror section pop out after me. Freddy was one of the guys trying to grab for me. To this day, I cannot turn my back on the horror section of Blockbuster without being afraid one of the creatures on the covers will pop up and stab me in the back.

I did have a dream Freddy was attacking me, killer style. The bad part was, it was wen I feel asleep at school, and when I awoke, I screamed like a little Ned Flanders.
I hate movies.

I was joking with a friend about how See No Evil was better than most Nightmare films (Okay, at least "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare") and had fun with that.
That night I dreamed I was in my college dorm room and there was a knock at the door. I got up, put my glasses on, and shambled to the door.
I look in the eyehole thingy and there is fricking Freddy Krueger.
"See No Evil, B****"
Then he poked one of those blades through the eye thing and I woke up.
Freaking Freddy. What a jerk. I am never having a big meal before going to bed again.
Then there was one with the Leprechaun...but lets not go there...

I only ever saw the commercials on TV for Freddy when I was little, and I did actually have a dream about him.
I was about 5 years old, and I ran down the stairs to get away from Freddy. I turned around at the bottom of the stairs and looked up, and Freddy is looking down at me. He then throws ninja stars at me and they stick into the wall all around my head.
Then I woke up.

Now I have a story that I'd like to tell About this guy you all know he had me scared as hell He comes to me at night after I crawl into bed He's burnt up like a weenie and his name is Fred He wears the same hat and sweater every single day And even if it's hot outside he wears it anyway He's home when I'm awake but he shows up when I sleep I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right And we had just gotten back off tour last night So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy If we summoned up the posse and done rushed the movie I got Angie Jeff got Tina Ready Rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life That was all right because the lady was chill Then we dipped to the theater set to ill buggin cold havin a ball Somethin about Elm st. was the movie we saw The way it started was decent you know nuthin real fancy About this homeboy named fred and this girl named nancy But word when it was over I said yo that was def And everything seemed all right when we left But when I got home and laid down to sleep That began the nightmare, but on my street It was burning in my room like an oven My bed soaked with sweat And man I was bugging I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30 It had melted it was so darn hot And I was thirsty I wanted something cool to quench my thirst I thought to myself yo this heaters the worst But when I got downstairs I noticed something was wrong I was home all alone but the tv was on I thought nothin off it as I grabbed the remote I pushed the power button and then I almost choked When I heard this awful voice coming from behind It said, "You got my favorite letter but now you must die Man, I ain't even wait to see who it was Broke inside my drawers and screamed, "So long, cuz" Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming Then thought, "Oh, I get it, I must be dreaming" I strolled back home with a grin on my grill I think that since this is a dream I might as well get ill I walked in the house, the Big Bad Fresh Prince But Freddy killed all that noise real quick he grabbed me by my neck and said "Here's what we'll do We gotta lotta work here, me and you The souls of your friends you and I will claim You've got the body and I've got the brain" I said, "Yo Fred I think you got me all wrong I ain't partners with nobody with nails that long Look, I'll be honest man, this team won't work The girls won't be on you, Fred, your face is all burnt" Fred got mad and his head started steaming But I thought what the hell im only dreamin I said please leave Fred so I can get some sleep But give me a call maybe we'll hang out next week I patted him on the shoulder, said "thanks for stopping by" then I opened up the door and said "take care guy" he got mad, drew back his arm, and slashed my shirt I laughed at first, then thought, "hold up, that hurt" It wasn't a dream, man, this guy was for real I said, "Freddy, uh, pal, there's been an awful mistake here" No further words and then I darted upstairs Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed Pulled the covers up over my head And said, "Oh please do something with Fred" He jumped on my bed, went through the covers with his claws Tried to get me, but my alarm went off And then silence It was a whole new day I thought, "Huh, I wasn't scared of him anyway" Until I noticed those rips in my sheets And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street

Then there was one with the Leprechaun...but lets not go there... PLEASE tell me that the Leprechaun was in the hood in your dream, LOL. the 2 horror films that gave me nightmares were the first NOES and Alien (ok, 1 horror and 1 sci-fi). I saw both at a relatively young age (I want to say 7 or 8). NOES had me looking around every door and leaving strategically placed night lights on, while Alien had me sleeping with a flashlight, looking under my bed for facehuggers.

Dream Warriors was the first one I saw and it scared the crap out of me when I was younger. I had dreams about the junkyard scene with Freddy's skeleton. Then there was one with the Leprechaun...but lets not go there... PLEASE tell me that the Leprechaun was in the hood in your dream, LOL. I can't help but think of his rap whenever Leprechaun in the Hood is brought up.... Lep in the hood up to no good.

Once I dreamt that Freddy was stalking me, and I had to ask this girl I knew how to kill him. She just told me impale him with something. The rest of the dream was just me standing near a fence with pointy spikes, but Freddy never showed up.

From ages 5 to about 15, I had Freddy Nightmares on about a weekly basis. And as much as he scared the living $hit outta me, I still loved watching him in the movies and still do.

Freddy once invaded my dream, so I asked him if we could sing Bohemian Rhapsody together.
He said "Sorry mate, you've got the wrong Freddy"
I said "Oh bollocks".
