"Technical Wrestler? High Flyer? Brawler? It don't matter what you consider yourself to be. When you're in the ring with the Crippler, you're a loser."
-Benoit, WCW Nitro Video Game
"Hey,hey, hey, hey, hey monkey boy. Like there's a choice here?Good God! Pick them man with the plan. Pick D-D-P!"
-DDP, WCW Nitro Video Game
"Pick me, Pick someone else, I don't care, leave me alone, Quote the Raven nevermore"
Raven, WCW Thunder Video Game
I went to a Gamestop and got 3 games for about 10 bucks total. I got MGS2 for PS2, WCW Thunder and WCW Nitro for PS1. As I am looking at the rosters, I see all the rants for the wrestlers and they seem great. I enjoyed them, and wonder what would happen if they returned to the current generation of wrestling games. Anyone miss those today in wrestling games, or am I the only one?

I remember them, I liked those better then the game its self. I think I recall Nash telling you to pick someone else.

Nash just said "How would you like to get powerbomed?" IIRC.
That was the first game I bought with my first PS, that and Resident Evil.

Man those games sucked. The rants are probably the only worth while thing.

I loved those, they were better than the game it self. With the new gen consoles capabilities I would love see some customized ones.

Yeah, Nash said "How'd you like to get powerbombed" on Nitro, and then "pick someone else" on Thunder.

Remeber all the wacked out 'bonus' wrestlers you could get? How about the equally whacked out 'bonus' rings?

Sting's on WCW Nitro went something like "You want to go one on one with the Stinger? You think you're ready for the Scorpion Deathlock! YOU THINK YOU'RE READY FOR A FATAL ENCOUNTER!"

Sting's on WCW Nitro went something like "You want to go one on one with the Stinger? You think you're ready for the Scorpion Deathlock! YOU THINK YOU'RE READY FOR A FATAL ENCOUNTER!" That was such a big disappointment considering the lengths WCW went to make make Sting's appearances in the previous months AWESOME without him saying a word, and then he does that rant on the game and basically makes an ass of himself.

Yeah, it was sad.
I only had the WCW Nitro demo. Sting and Hollywood Hogan were the only choices.
I don't remember much of Hogan's rant. I do know it started with "YOU KNOW WHAT, BROTHER?!" and it ended with "HOLLYWOOD STYYYYYYYYYYYLE!"
