I think out of these choices I would want Ambrose to do it. I think he would be a better long term top guy than Bryan or Reigns and a rub like that should belong to a long term top guy. I can't buy Bryan beating Lesnar and Reigns is not ready (Brother). 2014 Ambrose reminds me of 1997 Austin and 2004 Cena. I see Reigns being at best the next "Randy Orton" or "Batista" a main eventer but not good enough to be THE top star. And Bryan I dont see wrestling in the next 5 years due to his neck

If he healed then Bryan, But otherwise Ambrose.
I won't be annoyed if it's Reigns but his in ring work & Booking has to improve

Roman Reigns
I want to see Godzilla vs King Kong for when Lesnar finally loses, not King Kong loses to the brave underdog warrior who should get massacred

Ambrose. For all cool things that could happen in that match.

I'd prefer to avoid the names that are expected. Were he not busy with the Stardust stuff, I'd say someone like Cody Rhodes. Someone who'd probably be ready for the main event if they bothered to pull the trigger, but doesn't seem like the guy who'd naturally win it next in line if Cena were still champion. You go the route of Lesnar demolishing all challengers, and this one person nobody expected to stand a chance actually gets in some offence and gets closer than anyone else, while still losing the first match, but building to a finale where he finally gets the job done.

I want Cesaro to get back on track and end up being the guy to do it.
EDIT: To kind of expand on that I want Cesaro because he's a guy who seems most able to match Brock Lesnar in just pure badass cred. Bryan's up there too but he'd have to work really hard to do it, Cesaro could expel offense on Lesnar that we wouldn't be able to see anyone else do. Prop up European uppercuts, giant swings, he could take it to Lesnar without it look too "pro wrestling" where Lesnar would have to dial down his intensity to make it look believable.

Said Reigns just because I don't think (I hope but I don't think) DB will be back in time.
edit : Agree with Booker above me. Cesaro is the way to go for me if there's no Bryan back yet. Sorry you need a guy that can outwrestle Brock somehow or being able to be on a similar strength level with him.
I don't see any of that with Reigns or Ambrose.

Bryan or (don't crucify me) Cena. If Roman Reigns seems to be on fire during WrestleMania season, then I'd say Reigns. I would most want to see Daniel Bryan as David to Brock's Goliath.

Has Lesnar beaten powerhouses like Regins? Yes. Has Lesnar in the past beaten in-ring technicians like Bryan? Yes. But Lesnar has never faced a wrestler as crazy and unorthodox as Ambrose. Such a dynamic could make that upset more believable.

I'm sorry but in what universe can Bryan beat Lesnar Those that are scripted, i.e. entertainment. WWE would be the obvious universe in which it could happen. The 'David v. Goliath' story of the underdog who conquers the unstoppable giant is a classic story in literature. WWE being entertainment means that they can script this very thing to happen. I think Bryan's kicks would be a very effective visual in selling that Bryan could beat Brock. Remember those babyface comebacks from the summer of 2013? Hell, remember that match with Ryback of all people where Bryan got the crowd into the match? Ryback is a similar size to Brock.

With the proper build, I'm fine with either of the three as I like all three guys.

I can't choose really. But I want to throw a rebuilt Cesaro in there. They could sell him as a combination of strength/agility/technique/versatility that could confound and frustrate Lesnar. All he'd need is a few months of winning and showing off his skills. Heyman could put him over beautifully in his heelish, backhanded way. They could pull off that big fight, sports feel with these two.

I will throw a dark horse out there: Jack Swagger. I don't think the WWE will ever trust him as the top guy but he has the size and cred to match up to Lesnar more than the others, plus they could also do an comeback story line after him losing to Rusev

Either of those three would be fine, but preferably Bryan. If Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit can outwit Lesnar, so can he.

I'm sorry but in what universe can Bryan beat Lesnar Eddie Guerrero did it. He was comparable to Bryan in size (though he was chemically enhanced) and in ability, give or take. Lesnar made Eddie look fantastic in their match. I'll grant you that current Brock Lesnar is different than that era's version but Bryan's also more over than Eddie was. Brock sold well for Punk and they had a very competitive match and I'd wager that Bryan's offense looks more legit than Punk's.
