I duno how true it is but allegedly one of my classmates asked out a girl that he liked who unfortunately for him turned out to be a total psycho as she responded by kicking him in the nuts.

Got rejected by 2 people lol I went into prom with a set up well we were cool but she's lesbian now Did we ask the same girl? Anyway, I asked the one girl who I cared about and actually liked. She somehow talked herself into going with some younger dude, so she said no. Ten years later I won't bore you with and have sprinkled around here anyway over the years, she's a lesbian now. I went alone, because, f*** it. I asked who I wanted, she said no, everything else is a silver medal and you don't win silver, you lose gold.

I asked my then girlfriend if she wanted to go.
She said no, so I got in a rented suit and went alone. I took a bunch of free bottles of cheap schnozz wine and left immediately, everyone else there was being far too dull.
Economic alcohol thievery was what all proms were for, right? We had a good night after the prom anyway.

In 12th grade, I worked on the school TV show. We did a segment where I legit asked girls to prom on camera. They all laughed at me or were rude in saying no. I was cool with it though because I already knew I was going with my girlfriend. Ahh, good times.

The thing with me is that I remember asking some girl for her junior prom, and I had already planned on going to senior ball as well, and she rejected me saying that she had something planned about going as a group with her friends. I later found out that she never went to her junior prom.
My senior ball was mostly a set-up date with my sister's friend's younger sister. We had only met a couple of times before prom but we had fun. She was alright I thought.
However, these days I can't help but think about that horrible thing that happened in Connecticut when that guy stabbed that girl for rejecting his prom invitation. Part of me thinks he knew she was going with her boyfriend, and who asks someone to prom on the day of? Plus, I wonder why he would go so far as to kill her. It was so tragic.

This guy in my class asked me to prom, and we were going to meet up at the place. We get there, and he says "I decided I don't want to go with you anymore". I thought I said or did something to piss him off and when I asked, he couldn't give a reason. I ended up having fun anyway. I live in Connecticut, and people still talk about that girl and how they fear sending their kids to school because of things like that, and Sandy Hook

Didn't even try.
I was Ricky Doubtingpuss Noselfconfidence Antisocial Mook the third at that point in my life though.
It's a shame. Only when you're a kiddiepoo do you have "teh feelz." I'm 31. I'll like and possibly desire women I meet, but the torque just ain't there. When you're whatever-teen, you would push your grandma down a flight of stairs to get at some girl that's been bugging you.
Suzy Whatchacallit didn't know what she was missing in '01. She'd have seen some workrate.

I went to Prom with a tuxedo painted on my naked body. Then I spilled a drink on myself and the paint ran and everyone could see my dong.

I had zero interest in prom or other social events at that time in my life. Part of it was not really wanting to hang out with anybody that actually went to those things, and part of it was massive social anxiety which I still have some issues with from time to time.

I asked one of my best friends (at the time) to prom. She turned me down because she didn't want to go, then agreed to go with this other guy because she felt bad for him. Then she spent basically the entire lead-up to the prom talking about how much she didn't want to go. Then me and her ended up hanging out most of the night anyway since my date wasn't interested in me at all.
So I don't know if that qualifies as a rejection or an incredibly convoluted success.

Never went to my own I didn't have the confidence to ask anyone. Once I started college the High School girls loved me and I went to 3 of them.

I didn't go to prom. The few girls i did talk to were already going with their respective boyfriends and I was either too proud or too ashamed to go stag.

I wanted to go with a girl for my junior prom and she even said yes but I had to stay home because my mom was really sick. I explained the situation to the girl and she was cool with it and went with some friends. Senior year I went to a different school and rejected the two girls who asked me to go with them because I had no interest in attending to begin with.

I asked someone to my senior prom. She originally said no because she was not planning on going, but she instead went to the prom with my younger brother. Who, I should add, already HAD a date to prom, so he ended up going with TWO girls. I stayed home and played video games.
