Well, I was walking to work this morning (I live in Finsbury Park, which is a quite 'gritty' and 'realistic' urban 'location'), and after coming out of the bank, having deposited a couple of cheques, I found myself walking behind this character: Now, even for Finsbury Park, he was fetid. He had a 10-feet smell-radius... ie, if you got within 10 feet of him, especially from the back, you could smell the manure that he was so thoughtfull toting in his trousers. He got turned away from three shops in two minutes, and finally got into the fourth to buy a 4-pack of cheap white cider. I have a new hero.

This guy is a hero to all smelly folks everywhere. I envy this guy, he's lucky.

Reminds me of a guy I used to work with.
I worked in the recieving department for Meijer (think Wal-Mart, just not as widely-known) and on a regular basis I had to unload the semi trailers, put the boxes on a conveyor belt which sent them into another area to be pricemarked and stocked. Anyway, this guy I worked with was always the "truck guy," and I found out why the first time I worked with him. It wasn't feces or alcohol, it was just B.O. He seriously smelled like he hadn't bathed since the Bush Sr. administration. On top of that, he had funky teeth and horrible breath. Long story short, it was a 53-foot truck (give or take) and I coudl smell him at one end when he stood at the other.
After everyone in the department complained to the manager, he got to work by himself from that point on. (because the other option - clean himself - apparently was too much to ask.)

My old roommate was a 300 plus pound fat red head who smelled like B.O. I'm so glad he's gone, as I would have killed him if I had to live another week with the dumbass.

I have an especially disliking for stinkers.
1 - In the first year at university, a guy across the corridor and a couple of doors down had no idea of how to look after himself away from daddy and mummykins (and I think partly was rebelling against their middle-class, golf playing, stock portfolio owning ways)... he stank to high heaven, and it got to the point where I wouldn't let him come out of his door onto the corridor... we were on the ground floor, so I made him go out of the window and come around to the front door to get to the kitchen or bathroom.
2 - In the second year, there was a big fat guy who had the foulest room ever. Newspapers all over the floor, empty booze bottles everywhere. No-one ever saw him shower. He stank worse than the first year guy, and I would routinely spray him with deoderant as he walked by, and put scented candles and assorted odour-eating devices in his room.

It amazes me how people can go to college and still have no concept of bathing.

No, I said 'unendurable'... but your ears were so blocked with 28 years of wax buildup that you couldn't hear me.
