Punk beating Cena at MITB 2011 and leaving with the belt.
I could've gone without "Do the right thing" John having to run out of the ring to chase off Johnny Ace and Vince to make things fair, to get into the ring and eat a GTS for the loss. Other then that, I agree. The right man went over and kickstarted what could've been a generation defining angle.
Until this happened.

RVD beating Cena at One Night Stand was the right call. having Edge interfere in order for that to happen was, ultimately, also probably the right call, since RVD put the company in a shitty situation getting busted, and him being part of the bigger feud between Edge and Cena and not supplanting it made transitioning the belt off of him easier, though I doubt he was ever considered a long-term champion, anyway.

Again it went up and down from Punk winning as the first up, then the first down was with the whole Kevin Nash plot. The next up was Punk vs Funk Man only to have that fued stolen from Punk and given to Cena just because he had to be the grand savior.
