Thrill Kill for the Playstation. Even as a kid, it seemed so ridiculous and I desperately wanted to play it. Well it kind of got released as the developers released an ISO to be played on emulators. It's actually pretty awesome. Hahaha Star Wars 1313. Look up 1313 on IMDB. I... I don't get it. There have apparently been several attempts at making a Hellraiser video game but they all fell through. A shame because I believe this franchise has a lot of potential for very good ones. I remember a site even managed to find sprites that were to be used in some of them, including an SNES one which show the Lament Configuration being held in first-person view, suggesting it was to be used by the player somehow. Oh and it was to use to Wolfenstein 3D engine. Even considering it was made by the infamous Color Dream, which went on to become the even more infamous Wisdom Tree, I'm not sure it's such a bad thing it never came to be, I still wish they had finished it just to see how it would have worked. Duke Nukem Forever. Such a shame they never got around to finishing it. Besides, there is absolutely no way they would have done something stupid with it like filling it with every annoying modern gameplay gimmick or turn Duke into a douchebro who thinks tentacle rape is hilarious!

Resident Evil 1.5 and Resident Evil 3.5.
Ok so 3.5 eventually became 4, but it dropped all the cool shit 3.5 had. It doesn't even have to be an actual RE game anymore. They could turn it into a new franchise.

Not Star Wars 1313 so much, but I would've liked to see Knights of the Old Republic III. I really want to see more of those supporting characters stories (Jolee, Mission, Atton, pretty much everyone from the Sith Lords, pretty much everyone from either game).
And I heard a good game was supposed to be released but they cancelled it and release the version of Final Fantasy XIII we got instead.

It probably wouldn't have been very good But I was quite looking forward to Capcom Fighting All Stars. That didn't come out? I remember playing something like it for the original Xbox. It featured Alex from Street Fighter III and characters from Darkstalkers and Red Earth.

Cheap 2D game with copy and paste Sprites CFAS was a 3D game that was based in Metro City (Ryu, Chun Li, Charlie (Nash), Hagger, Strider Hiryu were just some of the Characters) www.fightersgeneration.com/games/capcomfightingallstars.html

An Eternal Darkness sequel. I know it's still possible but I think if it was going to happen, it would have. I was disappointed when the devs making the spiritual successor broke up after their second Kickstarter failed. I'm sure most fans of Eternal Darkness thought there'd be tons more people interested in a sequel but I suppose Eternal Darkness as a game is something people mention by name rather than ever actually playing which is a pity. Though Nintendo did ask for more time to prove they'll be doing something with the Eternal Darkness trademark so...maybe? Hopefully? attackofthefanboy.com/news/eternal-darkness-2-way/

Another cancelled wrestling game I would've like to have played is the sequel to No Mercy, WWF Backlash. I can't remember why they decided to cancel it.

Obsidian were working on a pretty cool looking Aliens game at the same time that Gearbox was "working" on Colonial Marines. It had some pretty cool features like if a marine got facehugged then you could either chuck them into stasis and not use them anymore or you could continue using them and risk them dying via chestburster.

WWF Backlash - The next N64 WWF gane after No Mercy. I really wished they released it. It could have been the one N64 wrestling game to feature the Mean Street Posse. Thank god they were in Smackdown 2. I played as those guys all the time.
Dinosaur Planet - The more I read about it the more interesting it sounds. I feel it could have been great on the N64 but I could see why they just decided to throwttogether a tie in story with Star Fox. I did enjoy playing Star Fox Adventures but I really do wish they did it on the N64

The last thing you want is to have your game that your working on be attach to something like that.

Since there is only so much video game developers can do and are allowed to do, some projects fall through the cracks never to see the light of day. Some of these unreleased games had the potential to become classics or were just an interesting concept that was different from whats out there. In this thread we can discuss cancelled video games that we wouldve like to have seen released for whatever reasons. I'll s start off by giving a shout to two cancelled Batman games, Gotham by Gaslight and The Dark Knight. Gaslight had a very interesting concept and had a steampunk-type envivornment but was cancelled after THQ lost the rights apparently. The Dark Knight was based on the film and I wouldve have like to seen that world on PS3 (It was exclusive) but I think it was cancelled due to Heath Ledgers death if I remember correctly. The Dark Knight was cancelled because EA was fast tracking it and Pandemic couldn't get it to work. Pandemic ended up closing. Apparently Shadow of Mordor was originally a Nolanverse Batman game but Nolan's camp shut it down. Another cancelled wrestling game I would've like to have played is the sequel to No Mercy, WWF Backlash. I can't remember why they decided to cancel it. Sanders Keel, who worked for THQ and with AKI on N64 games said Backlash was never really a thing. I would have liked to have seen WCW/nWo Live which was an English language port of Toukon Retsuden 3 and this Stargate SG-1 game.
