The first time the shield hit Batman upside the damned head the fight would have been done.
They undersold Cap so damned hard. He is a master tactician during combat, he basically has Batman's planning ability but in the heat of battle.

Pretty much. There's nothing Bats could do that Cap couldn't withstand.

You really don't understand Batman fanboys do you? Here's one I've always wanted to ask Batfans: how does he plan for the Hulk? Kittens and soft jazz. Honestly, it always annoys me that the plan is always to just blast away at the Hulk, even when it's from people he's been working with for years. You'd honestly think that hearing "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets." For the umpteenth time would have clued in Iron Man at least. But nope, just keep on shooting at him and making him mad. A giant screen showing My Neighbour Totoro would really be the best way to counter a Hulk attack. And for Batman vs. Captain America, the definitive fight for me will be the JLA/Avengers crossover.

I love Batman but he really is the HHH of the comic world at times.

They pretty much said in the video that Captain America fought toe to toe with Thor and Hulk and did well, so why would he lose to Batman? Because he throws a smoke bomb? lol. Yeah, they really did nothing for Cap. Steve is WAY smarter than people think he is, and throwing his shield into a bunch of smoke after a bat-a-rang is flung at him was a mega amateur mistake. The first thing Cap would have done is gotten the hell out of that smoke...of this I have no doubt. If he hadn't thought to do that, he definitely would have when he saw the stupid bat sprayed on his shield (assuming he was dumb enough to throw it in the first place). On top of that, besides being a super soldier and a master tactician, he's a goddamn World War II veteran! Just sticking around in a cloud of smoke probably goes against any military training he has, let alone common sense, particularly for that era of warfare. And that's without pointing out that his father died from a mustard gas attack in the first World War. The whole thing reeks of Plot Induced Stupidity.

You do know that in Death Battle, the battles themselves are just eye candy kinda like in a RPG game, right? You know, there's all that cool animation but what really matters are those pesky numbers that show up at the end. Same thing here. What they do during the battle is just something that may or may not happen. The point is that, according to them, Batman wins against Cap. Theey presented the facts before hand, showed the result and then the justification for said result. There's nothing more to it.

No legit voice acting for a fight like this? I mean, I know Batman isn't the chattiest guy in the world, but that's bull, bro! Edit: But now that defeated combatants can come back for another round (which I don't know how to feel about), I think it's time we got another visit from Raiden and Shadow the Hedgehog. I mean, I don't really like Shadow, but whose idea was a Shadow/Vegeta match? They have zero in common other than having really annoying fangirls.

Plan, schman. All Batman needed was a gas pellet and a simple kick Yeah, Hulk had already been getting hit by Spider-Man (to no effect), Thing (to little effect), Thor (with a bit of effect), and other super strong character, all of whom can hit harder than Batman on his best day. This comic was just awful. The only tiny thing I can maybe give it is that I think Hulk was being controlled by Joker...so maybe he subconsciously allowed Batman's kick to apparently effect him, so he wouldn't hurt anyone? I dunno, that's the best I can come up with.

As I mentioned, the only thing that lets me give it a pass is the caption mentioning it's more startling than painful; so you could justify it with the Hulk going "Wha?" and getting a lungful of gas.

Fine, it's eye candy...but don't make one of the characters a complete idiot and do something they'd never ordinarily do. Have Captain America jump backwards onto a windowsill or something, and have him jumping over the gas, only for Batman to catch him with a jump kick. That's better than Cap standing there like a dumb ass for 40 seconds while Batman catches his shield, reaches into his belt, pulls out his explosive spray, carefully and very loudly spray the shield with a bat shaped symbol, and toss the shield back at Captain America. Then give Batman inexplicable super human strength, enough to knock Captain America a good 60 feet in the air, catch him with the bat hook, hang him, and slice him in two with his own shield. The killing doesn't bother me, just the set up of the "eye candy." They can do better. Robocop vs. Terminator and He-man vs. Lion-O were awesome and extremely well done.

I genuinely think the "PREPTIME!" shit most batfans spout is my least favourite thing about Bats. I mean, I love the dude, but goddamn, some people need to get over it.

Lots of hate for the Batman and his planning time.
I say the same amount of hate is needed or Black Panther and Wakanda. Same pre-time balls, plus unbeatable super science army.

Black Panther deserves it way more, he beat Silver Surfer with an arm lock. Even Batman beating Superman wasn't that much of a stretch.

I like Black Panther, but mostly pre Hudlin-ish Panther, where he was awesome but not Mary Sue.

They can say they had this planned out before Batman vs. Spider-Man till they are blue in the face, but I just can't help but feel they did this to stop the complaints from the Batfans. Cause look at how lame and quick the battle was. It's like they didn't put much effort into it. This should have been the Batman Death Battle in the first place. Batman vs. Spider-Man should NEVER had happen to begin with. Who the hell, beyond the most delusional of Batfan, thought Batman would win that fight? There was a really good issue of Spider-Man after Civil War where Spidey confronted the Kingpin after Aunt May was shot and just effortlessly beat the absolute shit out of Fisk while stating "Yeah, if I wasn't holding back for fear of killing you in two seconds? I COULD KILL YOU IN TWO SECONDS." I always have that issue in mind when the more...ardent Batfans insist "prep time" would enable Batman to defeat anyone.

Then look at how Octavius used the Spider-powers. He was a damn wrecking ball, and he was still using his head more than Parker.

I love Batman but he really is the HHH of the comic world at times. Dude, not even Triple H is that powerful. I love Bats (though Nightwing's cooler) but he's a damn male Mary Sue. Wait I've got the ultimate battle: Batman vs Wolverine
