Watched Hillsborough again on Sunday night and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember the scene about the Policeman's mental breakdown at the traffic crossing being in the original Hillsborough documentary. Unless it was added with all the new footage at the end? I believe that was in the original one. And yeah, it is a very hard one to watch...especially the crap done by Kelvin MacKenzie. On him, let's just say I didn't know they could stack crap that high.

Saw Chasing Tyson last night. Fair documentary, but nothing too special. It's amazing how the courtroom hallways at the City-County Building where Tyson had his trial look exactly the same in 2016 as it did in 1992. At least I got to see the Fan Man spot.
And, earlier this week, I saw Trojan War. It's amazing how so many people thought the 2006 Rose Bowl (which was one of the most anticipated games ever) was full of potential NFL superstars. Boy, that sure didn't happen.

As a big Bears fan, I loved the 85 Bears one. So many great moments, and the end is so emotional.
I loved the shot of Erik Dickerson being stopped dead by Singletary. I watch that clip before I go work out now.
I have the book We Were The Greatest, commemorating the 85 season, and Ditka brings up a great point. He said that he and Buddy Ryan were never as successful apart compared to when they worked together. Probably the closest thing to a reconciliation we'll ever see.

The burning of LeBron merch is still hilarious. He got the money from those sales, and they burned their own property. They could have at least donated those clothes.

I saw a picture of a guy at an Indians game wearing a burnt-up LeBron jersey shortly after he announced he was coming back. I'll link it here if I can find it again.

It was an okay documentary, but I was very disappointed that they didn't bother mentioning anything about the Cleveland Barons. Sure, it's a footnote in Cleveland history, but having the last major sports team to go belly-up on you still is a black mark in your sports history. The only thing that came close to mentioning it was them showing the late 1970s Cavaliers ownership in front of the Minnesota North Stars logo, which they took over as a result of the merger.
Also disappointed that Ten Cent Beer Night had two photos in the intro and that was it.

I thought "Believeland" was a perfectly OK installment of 30 for 30. Obviously as a Boston sports fan, I don't have any ties or allegiances to the Cleveland sports teams but the idea of feeling pain or heartbreak because of your teams is a fairly universal feeling, so even if you don't support the Indians, Browns, or Cavaliers, you can at least relate to that stomach-punch feeling that the city has unfortunately suffered time and time again over the past 52 years.
I have two complaints, though. The first is that I thought the way the NFL Network's "Cleveland 1995" handled the Browns' departure to Baltimore was significantly better than the way it was portrayed here. Perhaps it's because they had a full-length run time and could really flesh it all out from every angle, but I felt like not enough was covered in the Browns leaving the city. The second complaint is the way they completely rushed through "The Decision". That was one of the single biggest sports stories and moments in sports in the past decade and it was covered in about two minutes. Perhaps it's because LeBron James returned to Cleveland and they don't harbor any bad feelings or resentment but I couldn't believe that "The Decision", possibly behind only the Browns moving to Baltimore as the biggest moment in Cleveland sports history, was essentially a footnote.
Also - unsurprisingly considering the network this aired on - they dedicated no time at all to what a horrible decision "The Decision" was. It was a flamboyant, showy, me-first bit of self-fellating prima donna bulls**t that spanned two hours of primetime television. For all the myriad reasons why people dislike LeBron James, it all started when he took part in "The Decision". And I know that revisionist history has since chalked that up to a kid not knowing how bad it would look but if you recall the 2010-11 season, LeBron was public enemy no. 1 everywhere but in South Beach and it all began on that night.

That's been the spin since the day after "The Decision". And just as I've said since that nonsense started, I'll say it again: if LeBron James or ESPN cared about The Boys & Girls Club that much, they could have donated the money to the club instead of using it and the children in attendance as human shields to deflect away criticism from an impossibly arrogant two hours of primetime television.

Didn't help that he looked SO BAD in Game 5 of the Eastern semis at home against Boston and then basically quit in the last 2 minutes against Boston in Game 6. Had he looked like a guy killing himself trying to get Cleveland a title (like he did in 2009 against Orlando), it would have at least taken some of the sting off. Still would have been better off signing with Miami, doing a low-key press conference, but his egg-laying in the 2010 playoffs certainly did him no favors.

I agree 100%. I get tired of people doing stupid things and then giving money to charity as a way to buy their innocence. To me charity should be done in private and not in a way to draw attention to yourselves. Both the Cleveland fans and Lebron came across bad in The Decision.

Considering its 20 years since it happened I'm surprised nobody has done an episode on the Indycar split.
