Why did knowing Ambrose was a former drug addict and heavy alcoholic damage you? Hell, that was part of his character back in the day so it makes perfect sense. If anything it only shows how he's evolved his demons into a great character from the indy days to his WWE days. Because I quite despice anyone who uses drugs. (Weed included) ...but you watch wrestling?...nothing before 2007 though right? Back to the actual topic.. It has improved me liking most of the people I like. I am an adult though. It would have bothered me if I was <15 or so.

I'm the opposite when it comes to Punk. I love that he says what he wants. I can quite relate to Punk on many levels. And anyone on social media I've read him destroy deserved it.

If anything CM Punk's antics helped me learn to "separate art from artist" at a time when knowing something about the real person used to bug me.

Well, I think the world could have gone without seeing Hulk Hogan taking a shit or having sex, that's for sure.

I never gave Ricardo much of a chance until I started following him on twitter, then I was like "...hey, he's kinda cool" and it just spiraled from there, ha.
As for having social media kind of ruin people for me, hm I guess A-Ri a little (some of his rants about restaurants, yikes), and anyone who RTs obsessively. I can't really remember everyone though, I usually unfollow or disable RTs when they get annoying so it's not a long term problem.

I guess learning what a lying arsehole and horrible human Hogan is make it slightly harder like him as a wrestler.
Also learning Moolah was a low life pimp tarnishers her.

Because I quite despice anyone who uses drugs. (Weed included) You must be a fun guy at parties. Alcoholism is a sickness though. It shows great strength that he was able to conquer his addictions and beat them. I guess you aren't too keen on Jake Roberts or were a fan of Eddie? I always found it odd how it's only alchohol addiction that's considered a sickness. People with other drug addictions never seem to garner the same kind of sympathy.

I remember Natalya being one of my favorite divas, but since Total Divas she's become very annoying and her ring work has deteriorated.

(Weed included) That's... pretty darn judgmental of you, actually. Wrestling is full of alcoholics and drug addicts. Some conquer their addictions, some fall victim to them, but the struggle is personal. Unless it consistently affects their on screen performance, it's probably best to put the phone down, chill on the despicing, and just enjoy what's on TV for what it is.

No, because I don't read their social media accounts
What's ruined wrestlers for me is simply seeing them too often. They are oversaturated and face each other too much.

Though there are rumours she wasn't squeaky clean herself I am going to edit my post.

Not really no.
All I know is what I see on tv.
How they choose to live their lives away from the ring is completely irrelevant to me.

What I've learned from twitter is that I don't like wrestlers, period.
They're so embarrassingly stupid I'm happy to just stick to watching the programming, but never meeting them in person.

People with other drug addictions never seem to garner the same kind of sympathy. An addiction is an addiction (sorry, it's kinda my field), but our separation of it, I think, comes in that you can go and buy a beer so it's one of those readily available things that can get you hooked. You can't just roll to the store and buy a few grams of smack. To quote Mitch Hedberg, alcoholism is the only disease you can get yelled at for having. Dammit Otto, you're an alcoholic! Dammit Otto, you have Lupus!

No, because I think the internet trend of holding celebrities to a higher standard is f***ing stupid. Yeah, I don't like that Rollins compared all women to ring rats but it's never really affected my enjoyment of his work. I don't like the guy. I don't have to like him to acknowledge that he has really good matches. It shouldn't get in the way. If anything, it's a positive bonus. When Carlito got a twitter, it was great because he's by far the most chill guy to ever be released in such controversial circumstances.
