In the age of Social Media and just overall internet exposure where you basically just know everything about your favorite wrestlers personal life and such, have you ever learned something about them that made you go "Ahh, kinda wish I didn't know that."
In my case it's knowing that Ambrose was a heavy alcoholic and drug addict. But at the same time it kind of made me appreciate his work more to see that he overcame it. It's 50/50 for me there.

Why did knowing Ambrose was a former drug addict and heavy alcoholic damage you? Hell, that was part of his character back in the day so it makes perfect sense.
If anything it only shows how he's evolved his demons into a great character from the indy days to his WWE days.

I guess you aren't too keen on Jake Roberts or were a fan of Eddie?

The amount of selfies Paige takes ruined her anti-diva gimmick, turns out she's one of the biggest divas of all.
On the plus side she looks great in them and it fits her new character much better.

Knowing the original Sin Cara is...kind if a dick sapped some of the comedy appeal of the character

No because we're all people. Sure, it would be swell if everyone had the same experience meeting CM Punk as I did or if Randy Orton didn't talk shit but they're people, that's their fault.

It made me like CM Punk a whole lot less than I already did, reading through his LiveJournal and Twitter. If you are the exact same person at age 35 that you were at 15 that's not really something to be proud of. The man looks, acts, and talks like a big f***ing teenager who never outgrew his Hot Topic f*** THE WORLD phase.
It does make me like some people a lot more though, like Ryback who was already my dude.

If he was this great guy who did his best and had nothing but bad luck, I'd feel a little bad about him devolving int a joke. But it seems like a lot of his failings were his own doing, so it's guilt-free laughter!

Some guys benefit from the lack of presence and it keeps their mystique alive. Like Brock Lesnar, Lesnar would be godawful at Twitter because he hates everyone.
Guys when you do know details about them like Punk and Ambrose benefit from it. It depends on who they are.

I actually used to hate AJ before i watched some interviews with her. She seems cool. Also watching Dolph's interviews that get him in trouble when he talks about how desperate he is to make it big made me like him more too.

I try not to let it mess with things, because I know I'll never meet him so why give a shit? But Punk's Twitter and some of his interactions with fans have sort of soured me on him before.

I can't really enjoy CM Punk-related things anymore. Not social media related though.

As someone who's against 'selfie-centered' people, I find most of the divas are not worth following on social media sites.
