In this thread, we take things TNA has so famously done wrong, turn them around, and try to suggest results that could have come from it. I'll start with this: In the quest for expansion, TNA promotes the stuffing out of every cross promotional opportunity they get. Whenever a TNA star appears on a tv show or in a movie, TNA deliberately makes mention of it on their programming and encourages fans to tune I . The increased audience awareness increases their viewership, allowing to consistently draw strong ratings for their time slot and increase PPV buy rates-albeit not by an ovely massive amount.

They don't throw away a shit ton of money on Hogan, meaning they can afford to keep AJ, Bad Influence, and their other name stars. Other than that, everything remains the same.

Things do NOT stay the same! Because they also actually start promoting their house shows as much as possible to increase ticket sales.

They don't do Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle right away after he debuts. They also don't end Joe's undefeated streak in their first encounter. As a matter of fact they save that whole match for Bound for Glory and make it mean something when it actually happens.

They actually pull the trigger on Daniels and give him a thank you run with the world title. They also build up Eric Young as a credible challenger

Raven wins the NWA Title in his first encounter. With this, he signs a long-term deal earlier, and TNA looks like a genuine alternative that'll give a fighting chance to misused WWE talent. The SEX vs. NWA angle keeps its fizz longer, allowing it to run until the end of 2003 successfully.

Bobby Roode actually wins the World Title at BFG 2011, making the BFG series actually feel important and mean something. He becomes a respected champion and helps TNA becoming a more renowned name.

After being let go by wwe, Daniel Bryan rethinks about the opportunity to sign with tna(since they aren't inept in this universe). After a great feud with Samoa Joe, he wins the title and we all wonder how wwe dropped the ball on him.

Seeing that the KO matches are drawing the highest ratings on their shows, TNA decides to make the girls the face of their promotional efforts, seeking out every possible tv or movie appearance, every product endorsement, and every public appearance possible. Also, seeing that Shark Boy's merchandise is selling best, they make him the face of their merchandising efforts by producing commercials that show Shark Boy shilling TNA's toys and shirts.

TNA starts expirementing with doing TV tapings on the road in 2007 and 2008, but largely stay at their location in the Impact Zone. As a preliminary step, they pitch the idea to Univesal of letting them do some tapings out if a studio at the theme park in California. While they are in the area, they start running house shows in Northen Cali., where WWE rarely goes.

Monty Brown doesn't randomly turn heel and join Planet Jarrett.
Instead he actually beats Jarrett for the world title and becomes one of the first main eventers TNA produces that is entirely home grown.
Edit: Honestly, the majority of these could be "TNA doesn't cut the legs off a popular face act for no good reason"

Only just saw this thread, but I posted this a few minutes ago elsewhere, which fits in here I suppose. The fantasy booker in me thinks that Joe/Jarrett as the BFG 06 main event would have been best for the company long term, rather than Sting/Jarrett (even though I really liked that match, especially the finish). Joe wins the belt there, then has a long run as Angle parallels him in dominance, with Christians Coalition playing the main foil to both throughout the year. They could even ally against Christian and Styles for a while. I dont know that waiting an entire year until BFG 07 to do Angle/Joe would be realistic, but booking them both like untouchable Gods until Slammiversary then having them meet at the TNA 5th Year Anniversary show could have been pretty huge. Then you spread out their series over the next few months and have the rubber match at BFG where it really doesnt matter who wins. Again, just your typical fantasy booking nonsense, but it's always fun to think 'what if'.

Instead he actually beats Jarrett for the world title and becomes one of the first main eventers TNA produces that is entirely home grown. Edit: Honestly, the majority of these could be "TNA doesn't cut the legs off a popular face act for no good reason" The only problem with that was the timing of the Monty/Jarrett match, because as it happened, they were building up Styles in a long storyline as the guy to overthrow Jarrett. The story was that Jarrett was surviving with his title against all of the WCW/WWE guys that were challenging him, then AJ would work his way up to a title shot and be the one to take him down with all of the old, more established faces couldnt do it. He beat Abyss to earn a title shot at Lockdown just a few months after the Monty/Jarrett debacle, then beat Jarrett for the title the next month. Thats a good, simple story imo, and it doesnt work if Monty beats Jarrett. That said, Monty was hot at the time, so I can't say with certainty that AJ was a better option than him. Either way, you're cutting the legs out from under a young, fresh babyface getting their big title win. Styles had been champ before, but this would be his first run with it as a babyface, I believe. It's a tricky spot.

You know that PPV main event that should have had a clean finish? It has a clean finish. Too many to name here.

Monty Brown beats Jeff Jarrett for the title and has a long, dominant title reign where he just runs through guys. Everyone wanted this at the time but instead Jarrett beat him every time they faced each other and then turned heel to just become his stooge. He was done after that.
Instead he's champ for like a year, just running through guys, building him to eventually drop it to AJ or (even better) Samoa Joe, while he's in his monster X-Division title reign. You probably could have legitamately built this as a dream match in 2005/2006 TNA with how over Monty was before his nonsensical heel turn and how over Joe was when he came in.

-Promote TNA better on Spike TV
-Monty Brown wins the belt from Jarrett
-They don't cut the reigns of Rhino and the Naturals short just so JJ and AMW are the champions on the first Spike TV show
-Samoa Joe beats Angle in their first match proving that TNA guys are just as good as WWE guys
-They do TV tapings in the UK much sooner
-Lance Hoyt, Tomko, Matt Morgan & Hernendez don't get depushed once they get over
-Christopher Daniels beats Sting in their feud and goes on to be a main eventer
-Joe wins the belt in 2006 and has a lengthy reign
-TNA pay for Konan's medical bills so LAX can stay around longer
-Don't let Abyss use thumbtacks every PPV
-You don't tell your talent they can't work anywhere else or they can work elsewhere as long as they aren't filmed for DVD's... which is basically the same thing. This ensures that you still get the best indie talent and people don't chose ROH or Shimmer over you
-Don't allow a drunk Jeff Hardy wrestle
-Don't hire EVERY ex WWE wrestler. Chyna, Test, Rikishi, Booker T etc.
-Forget Pacman-Jones and Jenna completely along with every NASCAR or UFC nobodies you want to bring to the show.
-Keep Don West! Tazz sucks!
-Make sure you have talent on contacts at all times. Especially if they are your champion.
But above all:
-DON'T WASTE MONEY ON HOGAN This ensures you have the money still and you continue to push AJ as your champion with Damiels, Joe, Angle, Desmond Wolfe and the Pope being his competition while the KO's division builds around Kong, Melissa, Sarita, Hamada & Wilde still.

Abyss is never allowed to speak, keeping his mystique and status as a monster.
