He's a dreadful heel. His baboon impression made me think he should be a Edge/Christian type face since that wad awesome and seemed like the sort of goofy, funny thing Edge would do.
Plus his wrestling style screams face. Give him Jeff Hardys old spot as high flying main eventer with Edges goofiness.

Rollins should never have been turned heel after the Shield went face to begin with. We had less than two months of a face Shield to rally around, with all the merch opportunities to go with it. This would have kept Orton in the spotlight as the Corporate Face while Kane could still act as the Authority's muscle. Splitting them up was a mistake that now has to play out fully until Rollins is in the Heath Slater position while Reigns and Ambrose struggle individually.
The one rescue for this would have been to keep Reigns and Ambrose together, possibly bringing in a new third member. However, the Authority's painted itself into a corner and will need to make some horrific tracks into what they've done in order to begin to correct it.

Don't think it's too late to reunite The Shield. Too early, maybe but not too late. What we really need is a Reigns depush.

Rollins is simply the weakest point of the Shield at this point. Roman takes a distant second.
I think Dean is the only one with the future. Tread lightly as we've seen this before.

Agreed, either Ambrose or Reigns would have been a better choice to be the one who joined the Authority.
Ambrose would have been the wildcard that Trips constantly had to worry about keeping in line, getting the job done but making Hunter nervous.
And Reigns as the new "Face of the WWE", getting shoved down people's throats, could have feuded with Orton, who could have easily turned face after being used and discarded so readily by the Authority.

This is exactly why WWE chose to turn Rollins. Rollins was pretty much being ignored and underappreciated in the Shield while Reigns and Ambrose got all the hype. The heel turn allowed them to keep Rollins afloat.

Except that instead of keeping him afloat, it's made him into an afterthought.
Mission accomplished?

I've sorta come around to Rollins as a heel, but I still feel like he's having to force it as opposed to if he were a face. I still say that Seth Rollins could be bigger than Jeff Hardy was if they really got behind him.

Rollins is fine as a heel. He's doing decent work and managing to play the chickenshit as well as the bravado when he's got Kane and Orton with him. To me, he's the most natural heel of this group, because he comes across as smarmy and cocky, even when he's a face.
It's the booking (as usual) that is undermining him, because to be seen as a threat, he needs to be winning against more than RVD and Ziggler. He should have beaten Reigns, for starters.

...Edge and Christian were heel through most of their reeking of awesomeness phase. Back when the WWE allowed heels to be cheered, and fans liked to boo them with a smile on their faces. Now, the slightest positive reaction, and boom! Face turn! In fact, wasn't Edge a heel for most of his career, despite being funny and charismatic and entertaining?

...Edge and Christian were heel through most of their reeking of awesomeness phase. Yep, they were. But if they were around today, I think they would be a face team. They existed at a time when heels could be energetic, entertaining, funny and goofy without been genericed up by Vince. Which is why I put face when saying Rollins should be like Edge & Christian. I honestly think he could pull it off. The cockiness and arrogance mixed with utter goofiness whilst remaining a credible wrestler.

I disagree. I think Rollins has worked himself into a solid heel. I like his personality in this role, playing up the cowardly heel approach very quietly while still maintaining his edge and focus on the fact that he is a fantastic ring general. He definitely needs more time in the role, and eventually they need to get him away from battling Ambrose and Reigns and into feuds with other, non-Shield guys. I'd love to see a Rollins vs. Ziggler IC title feud, although the briefcase probably nixes that idea. I've become very disenchanted with the entire "Money in the Bank" briefcase angle, its almost irrelevant with Lesnar in the mix holding the title. By the time Rollins gets to use that title shot, the luster will be completely gone.

I'm a big fan of the current Seth Rollins character, I think he's doing great work. One of the highlight of the show, great role for him.

I ended up liking the Rollins heel turn. It gave us one of the few good things about WWE this past summer.
The only negative about the post-Shield run is how they're handling Reigns.

No. He just needs to keep doing this Honestly when I see things like this, I'm more convinced than ever before that Vince books RAW simply to amuse himself. I can easily imagine him cracking up while watching stupid shit like that.

I'm pretty sure the baboon imitation wasn't even Seth's idea. Out of everything he's done so far as a heel, that thing has been the most outlandish and has been a far contrast to how his character's booked.
