I was thinking about this ever since the thread when we discussed how, to the untrained eye, Brock Lesnar came off as a babyface on the final RAW before Night of Champions, and one of the comments was how John Cena is a horrible friend. As you may know, whenever a wrestler is alligned with or has John Cena as his ally, Cena's partner will come down to help John out, but John almost never returns the favor. On last night's program, the fans were clamouring for a Cena run-in to even things up when Ambrose dealt with Rollins and Corporate Kane, but Cena never bothered (luckily, Ambrose, being the Unhinged one, was more than able to deal with them).
So, does John Cena truly qualify as a guy you don't want in your corner, or are there other choices. And, conversely, which wrestlers are guaranteed to watch your back... unless you're Sting?

The Usos are usually pretty good for a run-in assist.

Heels. Heel wrestlers are the best guys to have watching your back. How often do you see heels run in to help out their buddies, yet you almost never see babyfaces do the same? And not only will they run in to help you out, they'll often come out and stand at ringside, just in case you need a helping hand.
Look at Corporate Kane. He's always there to help Rollins out, or to back up Orton or Triple H. What a great friend to have.

Sting. The temptation to turn on him would just be too much.

I always loved the subtle way that Test was always there to help Shane Mcmahon after their feud in 99

Ted Dibiase would be the best. The dude financed thousands of dollars of dead end endeavors for his friends like Heenan, Brother Love, and his whole corporation, yet never really seemed too bothered by it. Still stood by his friends. Everything has a price...except friendship

Maybe this is because Cena is paid by appearance, a little bit like what's in Brock's contract. HHH: 'The Uso's get attacked by the Authority next segment. Can we afford Cena running in to make the save?' Vince: (checks wallet) '...Better save him for the main event or until the check clears...'

Sting would make a wonderful friend if you were some inanimate object incapable of screwing him over.

I quite disagree with all of you. Sting is the perfect friend to have. Loyal (almost to a fault) I have been befriended him, immediately attacked him and then made peace with him four times just today so far and I can't confirm that we've ever been in the same time zone, let alone the same location. Imagine how much you could get out of him if you actually knew him personally.

I wouldn't want anybody from the WWE in my corner. Half the time they only seem to show up to save you when they have a storyline reason. The rest of the time you're pretty much screwed if you get assaulted.
Who would want a bunch of fickle friends like that who only save you when it's convenient?

Kofi tries to be a good guy by running in for his friends, but he always gets hit out of midair by the heel attacking his chum.

Cena is the worst Ally I've seen in the last decade. If you are close to him, he'll rarely help you unless it leads to him getting something he wants. Additionally, you'll get killed as Cena's enemies will target you to get into his head.
Oh, and he'll steal your girl.
