I feel comfortable in saying these chants are officially less useful and even less relevant than the "What" chants.
It's time to let it go.

Wouldn't put it against them next time they are in Chicago starting to play "Cult of Personality" getting the crowd all excited only for Hornswoggle to come out in Punk gear. I wont lie.. I'd laugh The first time they were in Chicago after Punk left they had Paul Heyman come out to Cult of Personality at the top of the show and insulted the fans from what I remember.

Let's remember this is the "Universe" that's chanted "WHAT" for the last 12 plus years. So yeah...

I was surprised Steph acknowledged it last nite. She's like the only one that ever does.

I've always taken the chant as the fans letting WWE know that they're pissed at them for making Punk want to leave. A year long WWE Title reign, a match against Undertaker at WrestleMania, an extended program with his best friend (Heyman), and a proposed match at WrestleMania against Triple H. Oh, thank you Saint Phillip for enduring all that hardship. I rarely defend WWE in anything, but it is what it is. Be mad at Punk for splitting in the most anticlimactic way possible, not at the company glad to have him draw money for them. Punk was more like Hulk Hogan than he'd ever admit.

I love my hometown, but I wish they stop with the chant. Makes them look dumb. The dude left on his terms and there's a reasonable chance that he's never coming back. Seeing as how much he emulates Randy Savage, I could envision him completely closing the door on doing business with the WWE altogether.

I've always taken the chant as the fans letting WWE know that they're pissed at them for making Punk want to leave. By chanting it at his wife, ruining any heat she might get on her own. Brie's situation is the other side of the coin. She can't get any heat on her own so they bring up Bryan every promo.

I was surprised Steph acknowledged it last nite. She's like the only one that ever does. Pretty much everyone else lets it blow over and continue on with the show whereas Stephanie acknowledges it and just feeds into it and digs at it when she should just focus on the show and not give in to want to try and put down the crowd.

It's like the Anti-Yes Movement, in that it can't be yoked to improve any talents' fortunes. Maybe some trollish heel could give it a crack, but Paul Heyman took a running shot at it and it persists.

Big ups to Steph. Her line was brilliant from a bitchy corporate queen of the WWE standpoint.
I didn't mind the chant at first. It's stupid, but it's a nice nod to the guy. However, he's been gone for A WHILE, has done nothing to indicate he might ever return and there is literally no context to it.

Really disappointed at the lack of CM Punkdow. But given the brilliance of Damien Mizdow, I'll take the hit. Considering that Punk and his lawyers are suing WWE, there's no way that was going to happen. Damien Brooksdow, Walking Dead Enthusiast, however, would have been gold.

The fans chant CM Punk because he's the only wrestler in the world today that WWE can't have at their leisure. Macho and Warrior are gone. Bruno, Bret, and even Sting are on call. Brock Lesnar's the friggin' Heavyweight Champion. The Rock shows up when he's got time and Steve Austin has shown willingness to come by once in awhile. Hogan's on speed dial. Even guys like Jake the Snake and Scott Hall have made appearances over the last year or so. But CM Punk? There's nothing WWE can say or do to get him back until he's good and ready. It's the PERFECT insult to throw at the people in "power". It's a s***** thing to chant when AJ (one of the few female wrestlers to actually attract fans based on their wrestling work) is performing, though. You're over-thinking it and giving the audience too much credit.
