It was a great show! The arena is very much how it's portrayed on the show: In a worn-down soundstage in a dangerous area of East LA, broken wooden supports holding the building together, graffiti all over the sides, yet it was still an amazing site seeing the set and being in that atmosphere. Funny enough, the temple seems a bit nicer than it's portrayed on TV. Unfortunately, it was held the Sunday after Perro Aguayo's death so the wrestlers and crew were still a bit shaken up (Including poor Dario with a very cracked voice! I'm anxious to see how they edit that)
Despite that, it was a very fun show and the last match of the taping (Airing June 17, we were told) was a great brawl. I really don't want to mention anything until it airs, but there's a point in the match that I had to get out of my seat for (Figuratively or literally?). In particular, Dario Cueto is even more amazing live, as he gets to improv and play to the crowd a lot more (Including shutting down a "What/Que?" chant

Had to sneak two from my seat at the very end of the show. Also forgive me for the muddiness of my camera phone Imgur: My Trip to Lucha Underground! The temple looks less dirty with the lights on.

I'm just trying to think who on earth that's currently either part of AAA or is a free agent that could possibly live up to that hype, especially when you already have two pretty brutal monster heels in Mil Muertes and Pentagon Jr. The only guy I could think of was Gronda, but I don't even know if he's still in AAA or even wrestling still. Rob Terry under a hood, maybe? We got that already and it sucked: Then again that was TNA so it always sucks. Also, caught up the last two weeks and I'm really interested to see where things are going.

The temple looks less dirty with the lights on. I was surprised by how clean the Temple was when you walk in. The surroundings and everything before may be unkempt and rustic, yet the actual stage is pristine and a bit glistening at times. Not that it's a bad thing of course, but I was picturing wood chippings and fluid stains in my section

Little bit off-topic but I just wanna point out that I saw the picture and thought it was an action figure, he looks so plastic!

Nice to see that banishments in LU last about as long as banishments in any other company.
And Torito's right, Dario sounds rough tonight.

RIP Drago and RIP Prince Puma Mil Muertes is gonna kill everyone. That's one thing I'd like to see changed. I'm getting tired of watching guys get title shots, only for Dario to put someone else in there as a contender that they have to get through to get to the title. I know that that's Dario's MO, but it's getting old.

I'm getting tired of watching guys get title shots, only for Dario to put someone else in there as a contender that they have to get through to get to the title. I know that that's Dario's MO, but it's getting old. I get the feeling that, sooner rather than later, his constant rebooking is going to come back and bite him. Also, MAJOR MAJOR spoilers about the coming weeks (spoilers that are also on the LU wiki page, so don't go there): {Spoiler}Mil Muertes is the current LU Champion, so I assume that Prince Puma beats Mundo, Mil kills Drago and Mil then kill Puma. This leads to the return of Fenix to face Mil for the title at Ultima Lucha, Drago and/or Puma attempt to take down Dario and El Patron returns to get his revenge on Mundo.
I assume that season one ends with the Fenix winning the title and, instead of killing off Mil again, he keeps him alive and weak (which allows him to stay around without being a super monster) or he kills Mil and destroys the magic bag that Catrina has, preventing him from ever coming back.

Fun show again. Loved the stuff with Dario and Mundo, as well as Drago. Curious where the comment about Mil being stronger than the thing in the basement line goes.
