The temple looks less dirty with the lights on. They probably put a camera filter over it for the tapings to make it look as grimy and grindhouse as it does on TV.

First time watching and saw the 3 episodes shown on El Rey tonight. Loved it. I need to find a way to watch from the start to catch up on the soap opera segments. My initial thought is why the hell didn't WWE build the women's division around Maxine (Carina)? She is awesome.

Next week oughta be good, it's been a long time since there's been a 60 minute Iron Man match on TV.

The show is always good, even when I see little flaws here and there. I'll admit that last week I got sick of yet again seeing The trios champs having to work around Ivelisse's injured foot. As well not really liking Vampiro having his psycho moment(I prefer the announcers stay in their roles). But I like this week better. We get to see what these skeleton dudes are up to. Plus the backstage segments, I always like.

Tomorrow is, of course, the ALL NIGHT LONG match between Prince Puma and Johnny Mundo for the Lucha Underground Championship that will take up the entire show.

The idea of Kevin Dunn being so salty over this pleases me greatly.

How am I the first to reply on this week's episode?
That was AMAZING! Absolutely PERFECT!
What a match... If there's a better Ironman match, I haven't seen it.

Haven't watched it yet. I liked a Mundo alright but am not sold on Puma at all (the booking, Ricochet is awesome). An hour of them is overkill to me.

Won't spoil for those that haven't seen it but while it was a quality match I found the finish unsatisfying.

Great match, goes to show that the hour long match isn't dead yet.

Technically, I don't think it's up for nomination yet, it's just listed for consideration. But it'd be great if it somehow got nominated. If it did, and El Rey still didn't renew it, then it's not just sad, it's a crime against humanity.

Was underwhelmed by NXT, ROH, and TNA tonight then watched this match and was blown away.

They made that whole hour work. It varies enough so that it doesn't get boring(especially how they went all over the venue). I loved how Johnny was up with the band and told them to play.
My only complaint is that I wish there were some backstage segments in this episode, but I'm just nitpicking at this point.

...Yeah I need to watch this If they made an hour ironman match work in todays state of wrestling, then give them that damn Emmy, if they didn't already deserve it before

Mundo and Puma worked their asses off for a hell of a performance, but I really just wasn't feeling the MOTY vibes others were. Did find it really good, though.

I haven't seen it yet, but Dave Meltzer wasn't a fan of it, saying they didn't suit the style, and he didn't like El Patron's involvement, as it felt too heelish.

I haven't seen it yet, but Dave Meltzer wasn't a fan of it, saying they didn't suit the style, and he didn't like El Patron's involvement, as it felt too heelish. That criticism doesn't make sense to me. I wasn't big on giving Mundo the big lead with cheap pins(uses ropes, uses crowbar, then two more on hardly conscious Puma on heels of crowbar) only to lose later, it made him look rather weak IMO. But given the big lead you have to address that Mundo could just stall his way to victory. Patron's interference accounted for the stall-factor, furthered the feud with Mundo, and allowed Mundo to keep a little heat while losing the big lead. Plus after what Mundo did to Patron I don't see how this was heelish, it was totally understandable payback. +

EPIC match. LU is probably the best thing on TV right now.
