First episode was tonight. Really enjoyed it, set up the powers well and I like the Grodd reference, although I'm not sure how they'll handle a sentient gorilla in live action without making it silly.

What was the Gorilla Grodd reference? I watched the Flash and thoroughly enjoyed it but missed the Grodd reference completely

I loved it. And my far out speculation (spoiler for those that haven't seen the pilot) {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Harrison is a grown up Bart. He came back in time to help get Barry on the path, and try to prevent his death.

I haven't watched it since it leaked online a few months back but I am pretty sure Harrison is: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Reverse Flash. If I recall they pretty much state it outright.

Does the Flash do anything besides run really fast? Because honestly it sounds like a crappy superpower.

Does the Flash do anything besides run really fast? Because honestly it sounds like a crappy superpower. He does everything fast not just running fighting, thinking, reading etc ... he can move his arms so fast that he can create a whirlwinds, he has vibrated fast enough to pass through solid matter. He can also run around the whole world in a blink of an eye and using all that momentum punch you in the face. If anything The Flash is actually one of the most overpowered superheroes of all time. ... I hope Mirror Master makes an appearance at some point in this.

If you remember Infinite Crisis, Bart was beating the shit out of Superboy-Prime, till Superboy-Prime decided to fly away. Hell Superboy-Prime is afraid of any version of The Flash.

I thought it was an okay first episode. The issue IMO was pacing. It almost seemed like they were filming the first episode to be a 2 parter but in editing decided that they only needed one episode.

I haven't watched it yet, but am psyched because soon we will see {Spoiler} Ronnie Raymond. With Martin Stein to follow, apparently. /Wouldn't have minded David McCallum playing the latter, but he is kind of busy...

I really liked it. Didn't like how they gave away the Big Bad already, the end episode twist should have come a bit down the line.
Also, GRODD!

Liked it a lot, this has the potential to be better than Arrow, and that's saying something.

Yeah, the defining moment to this was when they showed the memorial to that guy after Barry wakes up, and the fact I call him "that guy" tells you how much they made me care about him. They seemed to push as many references to the Internet as possible in the dialogue, which was a bit grating. Still, the show can be very good. As I've said ad infinitum, can't wait for {Spoiler} Ronnie/Firestorm. And while we're in spoiler space, wonder if they'll revive Weather Wizard after his apparent death? I know he has a brother in the comics who took up the mantle. That's another thing I look forward to, building up to the Rogues forming. . Caitlin is all right, while Cisco reminds me of someone out of Agents of SHIELD. (TBF, this is because I know where her character is going, and who it's related to, so I am biased...)

He came back in time to help get Barry on the path, and try to prevent his death. Uh {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'm fairly certain Eddie Thawne is Reverse Flash. Eobard Thawne is the comic Reverse Flash. I'm guessing Eobard was too weird a name to actually use All in all. I was f***ing pumped through the entire thing. Goosebumps for the entire thing. I'm fine with DC sticking to TV if this is what they're giving us.

But I'm saying Harrison (head of STAR Labs) isn't a villain, but actually a grown up Bart. We know that Thawne and Caitlin are going to become villains, so throwing in a 3rd would be overkill. I think Harrison is going to turn out to be a good guy, and it will be Bart.
The other possibility I'm thinking is that he'll be Monitor.
