So on Austin's latest podcast he talks about Undertaker making it clear he expected Shawn to do business that night "and even taping his fists"
Is this the first time this has been confirmed by one of the 3 people involved?

Makes me wonder if he was actually confirming it or if legend has made its way into his memory HBK still denies it. It might just be HIS memory.

Not surprising that good ol HBK is the one who says it didn't happen.

Austin also talks about how it was hell to get Shawn to play ball at the DX public workout angle prior to Mania.

Is this the first time this has been confirmed by one of the 3 people involved? I made this thread about a month ago where Shawn says it didn't happen. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/508851/shawn-michaels-taped-fists-happenIn that thread someone posted a video of Taker talking about it. So yes, all three guys have talked about it. Stone Cold says it happened. Shawn Says it didn't and Taker leaves it up for interpretation.

So, we literally got a yes, no, and maybe by the three people involved. We really shouldn't have Ed Leslie interview people.

Bit rich coming from Taker, who rarely jobs and never sells Taker put people over when he needed to. Something that wasn't such a sure thing with Attitude Era HBK

Bit rich coming from Taker, who rarely jobs and never sells Yeah, like how Taker scoffed at the idea of losing clean to Kozlov and threatened to quit if they went through with it. Or he did as he was told, I forget which.

Bit rich coming from Taker, who rarely jobs and never sells Taker doesn't sell because of his character, he sold as Bikertaker. In fact in tough matches he sells as Deadman as well. He also always jobbed for the right people, just not at Mania, which will doubtless have been WWE's choice once they realised they could make it into a draw. Also I find it hilarious that someone with Hogan in their avatar is criticising someone for rarely jobbing and never selling.

Bit rich coming from Taker, who rarely jobs and never sells Most main eventers rarely job. When has Taker ever refused to job when asked? I'd like to know. Also never sells? Well yeah if we're still in 1990....which we're not. Taker has sold big time for years now.

I'm no Shawn apologist but it's just funny coming from Taker and Austin, who pretty much never lose cleanly. Unlike Shawn, who spent a large chunk of his second run putting guys over.

So, we literally got a yes, no, and maybe by the three people involved. As the old saying goes, there's four sides to every story.

I'm no Shawn apologist but it's just funny coming from Taker and Austin, who pretty much never lose cleanly. Unlike Shawn, who spent a large chunk of his second run putting guys over. I'm not criticising Hogan for his gimmick, which consisted of not losing or selling. Nor would I criticise Taker for it. Anyway we've established that the fist taping is not confirmed because the three men involved said different things, and Taker himself didn't confirm or deny it. And again, blaming Taker, who was booked to almost never lose cleanly from day one, for not losing is ridiculous. The only rumours I've heard about that were around 2000-2001 when he was fat and shitty in the ring anyway, and since returning as the Deadman outside Mania he has put loads of people over. And again, Austin walked out on one job, ever. I'm not saying they're saints.

I fully admit to being biased about Taker. This story has always made me roll my eyes. Anyway...
Didn't Austin himself outright deny this had happened in the past?
