Now who all was saying that they wouldn't let him keep doing the bodypaint?

I feel like the paint should be a big match type deal.

I feel like the paint should be a big match type deal. But then it really kinda loses it's recognition factor if he wanders out without it every so often. He should have something for every match, but I agree the full body paint shouldn't be for every match.

I've never seen any of this guy's work. I'm sort of waiting to see him in NXT with no preconceived notions. But the paint makes me curious, it really worked for guys like Jeff Hardy and Sting, though the bodypaint is something new. I just wonder if he's that sort of babyface, because the right sort of personality and style can really be set off by visual stuff like that.

It's certainly a cool, distinctive look but it looks like it takes hours to do. It's gotta suck when he accidentally sits down in a chair or puts a shirt on and it smears all over. The backstage area winds up looking like the Bluth house when Tobias Funke was going through his Blue Man Group audition phase.

Do you guys think he'll do it for his first match? His first match would be a pretty big deal... What a first impression!
Only issue with it is another possible way to do it. If he showed up the first few times normal, and then some incident or beatdown happened, the next time he shows up, the pop he'd get coming out for retribution in the paint would be incredible, because then people'd know he meant business and is going to go berzerker. Probably could introduce a special finishing move or spot that he'd only use with the paint, as if it is a split personality deal.
Warpaint is something almost primal, everyone would understand immediately. I don't see him doing backstage segments, promo work or squash matches with it either, at first.
Wasn't he usually mute when he wore the paint? Or does he talk in a deeper voice or something?

Actually, I believe he uses latex body paint, which pretty much doesn't smear-it peals. If he were using grease paint makeup, like Jeff Hardy used to use, then yeah, it would go all over.

The Finn Balor gimmick so far looks like all intents and purposes like a better version of Sheamus. A hardcore patriotic Irishman with a slight heavy metal/warrior culture bent, only Balor doesn't just settle on some generic token symbol like a Celtic cross on his trunks, he actually goes full throttle with the idea.

Seen some his matches he does the pragmatic heel thing Drew used to do (limited moves and very calculating) very well despite being a puro wrestler. I like him already.

Do you guys think he'll do it for his first match? His first match would be a pretty big deal... What a first impression! Keep in mind that the viewpoint that WWE can be different from puro in that regard: Japanese wrestling can see certain "big ticket" things that are only pulled out for very special occasions as part of the sport, but in WWE/American wrestling, it's pretty much expected that you have to bring it out all the time, for every match/situation, once it's there- under the thought it's easier to add something if the gimmick goes further than subtract something once the gimmick's going on. So, if Balor does it for his first match, he's doing it for every single match from there on out.

Too bad the U.S. cares about copywright infringement. I'd really like to see "Venom" Balor...

The backstage area winds up looking like the Bluth house when Tobias Funke was going through his Blue Man Group audition phase. Typically, body painting like this is done with an airbrush, and while it does take a while, it doesn't really smear much. I've had it done (on a smaller scale) myself, and seen it done (on an even larger scale) to other people.

Does he paints himself, or does he have an artist do it?

Too bad the U.S. cares about copywright infringement. I'd really like to see "Venom" Balor... Still possible I mean Rey dressed up like a superhero as a Wrestlemania tradition. not to mention like half of the Tights Kofi has worn had super hero logos on them... and Cody's Triforce boots. That said I think the Bodypaint shouldn't be a weekly thing for RAW. I'd save it for the PPV's/title matches.

Does he paints himself, or does he have an artist do it? IF he could do all that himself he'd have to be a world class contortionist and airbrushist.
