I think the full body paint should be saved for special occasions, but I can see his face being painted most or all of the time. That is a much quicker thing to do and lends itself more favorably for the way NXT is taped. If he's gonna wrestle 3-4 times a night, he can't get the full paint on each time. It's not a practical thing to do.

Seen some his matches he does the pragmatic heel thing Drew used to do (limited moves and very calculating) very well despite being a puro wrestler. I like him already. I've never ever heard "limited moves" used to describe him. I get (or at least I hope) you meant "makes every move count", but yeah. It just hit my ear wrong... err my eyes... whatever. For the record I'd put Devitt at about 90% of the "pure wrestler" that Daniel Bryan is (which is still 40% better than most of the roster), but with a body and Irish brogue accent that makes panties melt. |

They hold in the gas and compress it until it's unable to be measured by any means of detecting volume that we have. There are physicists working on string theory who are unable to detect Devitt-flatus. One common hypothesis (and the one that I stand by) is that all of Fergal's farts since the beef and cheese burrito he ate in 1987 are currently still resting in his colon awaiting sweet release upon his death at which point his body will release a tiny poot that will expand to cover the continental US upon hitting open air bringing a tear to the eye of every straight male in existence (everyone else will already be crying due to the loss of such a fine physical specimen of man). It has been foretold that Devitt's anal death-rattle will bring about a new, stinky ice age as, even though the polar caps will melt due to the heat released, it will form a gaseous cloud that will block out the sun leaving the earth a cold dry husk. Do you guys think he'll do it for his first match? His first match would be a pretty big deal... What a first impression! Keep in mind that the viewpoint that WWE can be different from puro in that regard: Japanese wrestling can see certain "big ticket" things that are only pulled out for very special occasions as part of the sport, but in WWE/American wrestling, it's pretty much expected that you have to bring it out all the time, for every match/situation, once it's there- under the thought it's easier to add something if the gimmick goes further than subtract something once the gimmick's going on. So, if Balor does it for his first match, he's doing it for every single match from there on out. Very good point. If that's the case, then it'd be a bad idea to do it first match. I think it is something definitely to build to, then. |
