It's a shame Tully's mainstream career was pretty much over after that positive drug test in October or November of 1989. He was about to go back to WCW (well, it may not have technically been WCW when he was last there) with Arn. Tully surely would have continued to team with Arn with the Horsemen. I think the only reason Ole returned to the ring was to fill in for Tully (and Ole's in-ring return didn't last too long into 1990).
By the way, you do realize that they teamed in NWA as members of the Four Horsemen, having classic matches with the Road Warriors, Rock n Roll Express, Dusty and Sting, the Freebirds (Hayes and Garvin), and Windham and Luger. They teamed from roughly 1987 to 1989.

The Horsemen went dead for a while when they jumped. For a time, everyone from that incarnation was in the WWF except for Flair (Arn, Tully and Windham as the Widow Maker).
