If it's true, it's truly a fun time to watch the WWE in this train wreck heading into January. Very low star power and people getting hurt left and right. Hopefully this gives Orton time off and refresh for 8 months.

With Randy, this means he actually needs to be wrestling more as he'll need to get some rest.

OK, so if this and other news reports are true, both Orton AND Cena are banged up, so if they go down... WWE are looking at UNPRECEDENTED issues with roster depth.
Arguably, a lot of it is of their own making. But it's nothing that is beyond repair. For example, if Cesaro were to suddenly get on a hot streak, basically winning more often and looking great and gets over big again, then it could basically be as if the last 4-6 months never happened. Nobody is unsalvagable, but many shouldn't have to be salvaged in the first place.

Hope he recovers, but still want Orton vs Lesnar.

All the more reason to go with Orton/Lesnar. Let them have a decent match where Brock "injures" him and puts Orton on the shelf and later on Orton can return as the face after the Authority (maybe have a group of them).

Would be neat to have a (loosely-connected, at best) group of faces all wanting to go after the Authority for their own reasons.

You could have Orton, Bryan, Reigns, Ambrose, Cena all with their own agenda but will back one another up in fights with The Authority. Sans Ambrose and Reigns, who I hope continue to have one anothers backs in general.

They'll have Lesnar destroy him and then use that as an excuse to give him a couple of months off screen.

You could even work in a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" deal as it relates to Orton and the other Anti-Authority people he's had battles with in the past.

Nobody is unsalvagable, but many shouldn't have to be salvaged in the first place. They could put Cesaro with the Authority at any time, and he'd soon get his heat back. Get rid of Kane, put Cesaro in his place as the muscle, have him take the IC title off Ziggler in convincing fashion. Boom. Credible heel. Or they could do the same with Sheamus (minus the IC title part). Or hell, why not both of them? Push Ziggler (as much as I don't care for him) a bit and he can play the upper midcard face, just below Ambrose and Cena. Get Bad News Barrett back, and have him as a tweener to be built up again. And this doesn't help with the star power, necessarily, but it will help with making the shows exciting: Do some more NXT on RAW matches. Get Neville and Zayne and Breeze back on there. I think Rusev can hold his own in longer matches, and he needs to be pushed past this dumb feud with Big Show, to the point where Rusev himself is the big deal (fairly quick), and the man no one wants to fight. And hey, remember that cult guy with the big beard? Wasn't he something credible once?

Anyone else remember him landing on a monitor at WM 30? I wonder if that started it. He was lucky to walk out of there that night.

NEWZ reports are basing on their news on what one random person may have heard at a live event? Plus Orton could be making a weird insinde joke that he has a ruptured disc in his back. I don't know. I do the same thing whenever I feel sick or I'm hurt. I had a cold for two weeks and I kept making I have Ebola jokes.
If it's true that's f***ed.

But I doubt he'd make his way to the ringside doctor to make a joke about a ruptured disc, and I doubt the doctor would find it very funny.
