Bleeding Cool is stating that he is currently writing a 12-issue comic series based off of his "original vision" for his Batman trilogy. ...yes, trilogy. We were spared one... So he's starting from scratch (hrm) and telling one big story with certain elements from his 2 disasters and the 3rd unmade film. www.bleedingcool.com/2014/10/24/joel-schumacher-to-revisit-batman-forever-batman-robin-and-batman-triumphant-in-year-long-comic-with-dustin-nguyen/It's being illustrated by Dustin (LIL' GOTHAM) Nguyen, at least, so that might be worth a look. And based on recent comments, he's apologetic about it all (hell, him talking about them at all is apparently a big step for him) and bashes himself for screwing up, especially with B&R. .........still, Bat-senses are wonky on this one oh wait that's a Spider-Man reference dammit well still more forgivable than BATMAN & ROBIN at least.

Batman Forever was enjoyable and everyone who says otherwise has a differing opinion that I respect regardless of how wrong they are -_- Eh, I'll wait till some pages come out before making a judgement on the book itself... ...also yeah, of course a 3rd one was going to be made that's not news... Batman Triumphant was at least speculated on before B&R completely flopped. Finally are we up to 52 Batman books yet?

I'm excited for this. I did want to see his view of what Triumphant would have been.

He was doing what Warner Brothers told him to do. They decided the creative direction. A guy who directed The Lost Boys doesn't suddenly turn into a bad director. They wanted camp cartoony Batman, and he delivered it.

If it retains the campy ridiculousness of his two Batman flicks, I'm totally in. I absolutely love those movies.

I don't read comic books but I enjoyed his Batman movies.
BABAY! I would compare them to a kiss from a rose on the gray!
Ooooh! The more I get of them it seems the stranger I feel, Yeah!
Now that this news has a appeared, the light hits the bloom on the gray.
I'm curious.

Two things about the Schumacher movies I love and will always defend
1- His vision of Gotham City, bright lights, colourful, colossal buildings and statues. Amazing production design.
2- The portrayal of Robin. I liked Chris O'Donnell's performance in BF and I liked the idea of an older, more cynical and world weary Robin. I thought the "One day, Robin will fly again" scene with Alfred was excellent.

Batman Forever was enjoyable and everyone who says otherwise has a differing opinion that I respect regardless of how wrong they are -_- I always liked BATMAN FOREVER too, to be fair. It's aged....strangely, but it is still rather enjoyable. The changes in artistic design were very jarring from the Tim Burton/Anton Furst days, though. Dark in the world of Gotham just works - neon might look neat, but that's not Gotham. The crap certainly deserves to be spewed across BATMAN & ROBIN's face, though. Although Clooney was always a good Bruce Wayne, Robin was fine and Michael Gough got a bit more to do as Alfred - everything else was campy shit which has aged TERRIBLY.

If it means the return of his neon wonderland Gotham, I'm all for it.

I agree that he shouldn't deserve all or even most of the blame for the way those films turned out, but... There's no excuse for nipples on the batsuits. And, I would've been fine with the nipples had he dropped a scene in explaining them, but he didn't. Just one scene where we learn that Alfred put nipples on the suits because he likes trolling Bruce or because he's into rubber nipples would've made them completely acceptable.

Good. The campy Batman needs to be just as prominent as the darker one.

I loved the batsuit nipples. I'm just disappointed they didn't turn them into lasers or spikes. Totally a missed opportunity. I enjoy Batman and Robin for what it was, a campy mess.

I have to be honest, I would place both Keton and Kilmer ahead of Bale in terms of my favorite Batman (Clooney is an extremely distant 4th)

You know what, I'm kind of interested in seeing how Batman Triumphant would have turned out.
While we're at it can we get Tim Burton to do something similar with his ideas for Batman 3? Only thing I can find is the basic plot (Bruce Wayne doesn't expect to fall in love again, Riddler or Two-Face is the villain and Robin would've been played by Marlon Wayans).
