Though incomparable to the early years Dynasty and Falcon Crest was better in their final year than they'd been in a long time.
What other shows does that apply to?

If you count Live Another Day as a season then 24 was certainly back on track, the half season forced them to cut out a lot of the filler that bogged down previous seasons and focus almost solely on Jack doing what he does best: kicking ass. (And even then that's a debatable point as there are talks of doing another season after the positive feed back Live Another Day got.)

Scrubs Season 8 was really good, the best one since 4. Sadly instead of an official spinoff we got "Season 9" which tainted a very good ending to the original show.
