...and apparently Chris Sale busted his foot at home, so he's out at least 3 weeks. This is why we wait until the season starts to get excited. Ugh, drafted him in my fantasy league too

Feels oh so good to have baseball games back on the radio. Listening to Pirates/Blue Jays.

First Yankee game ends in a 5-5 tie. Highlight was the game-tying 3RHR by Aaron Judge in the 9th.

Can we talk about the fact Curt Schilling went Liam Neeson in Taken on the people who harassed his daughter on twitter There's a lot going on with this story over the last 48 hours, especially locally here in New England, and I wanted to make this its own thread, but since the subject has been broached, let's discuss it here. OK, so some background. Curt Schilling's daughter was accepted to play college softball at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island. He posted about it on Twitter. The trolls then showed up, with all sorts of vile jokes about having sex with her, with some basically joking about sexually assaulting her. Schilling blasted back by identifying a few of the trolls publicly, one of whom has since been fired from his job. It's all detailed in Schilling's blog: 38pitches.wordpress.com/2015/03/01/the-world-we-live-in-man-has-it-changed/Despite Schilling's brash attitude and sometimes questionable public comments, his blog post and standing up for himself and his daughter has been met with near-universal praise. I say "near-universal" because on this afternoon's edition of "Felger and Mazz" on 98.5 FM in Boston (the highest-rated sports radio show in the area), one of the hosts absolutely blasted Schilling. His take on it can be heard here: www.csnne.com/boston-red-sox/classic-rant-felger-tells-schilling-get-twitterSome notable quotes from host Michael Felger: Between arguing that Schilling brought this on himself merely by posting on Twitter, using the if you don't want to get mugged, don't walk in a bad neighborhood argument, and referring to cyber-bullying as not "real bullying," this has the potential to fester into a much larger problem.

Safe to say he will be looking for a new job soon I honestly don't expect him to face one iota of punishment, to the point where I don't even expect him to be forced into making some sort of on-air apology, because it seems like those who broadcast the show appear to be generally fine with what was said. Comcast SportsNet New England, which airs the simulcast of the radio show, refers to it as a "Classic rant" in the link posted above. CBS Boston refers to his rant as "a simple solution for Schilling to avoid these problems in the future."

My personal feelings aside on Schilling for his post 38 studios collapse comments, yeah you don't f*** with someones kid like that and expect no response.
I got zero problem with anything he said or did to any of the trolls that were messing with his kid. You wanna mess with him, fine. You should expect a response when you mess with someones kid.
That being said....Bryan Price...if you even f***ing think of batting Phillips second this year with all the other guys you have back and healthy, you deserve to be fired before the season even starts.

Yeah I hate Schilling, but I'm 100% with him on what he did to those two assholes.

Personal opinions about Schilling aside, he was absolutely in the right here and I applaud him for taking a stand for his daughter. And f*** the creepy trolls and victim-blaming morons like this Michael Felger.

I think Curt Schilling is a self-righteous prick.
In this instance, though, I'm on board.

I want A-Rod to hit 50 homers this season. Seriously I don't like Alex Rodriguez and I really don't like the New York Yankees, but I agree with you. I want to see A-Rod tear the cover off the ball this season, particularly because it would drive so many already irrational people absolutely batty.

I want A-Rod to hit 50 homers this season. Seriously I really think the days of people hitting 50 hrs are sadly over. Last year seemed to be the death of the long ball. I think 40 is the new 50. 30 is the new 40, and 20 is the new 30.

A four-person panel is split on whether Josh Hamilton should have to enter a rehabilitation program for drug abuse, according to the Los Angeles Times.

I will have a Cartman versus Scott Tenorman moment. I... I just... want to lap up the tears of Cashman and the Steinbrenners. Y'know what, I want to go a step further. I want the Yankees to get to the playoffs, and I want A-Rod to be the one to drag them there, because that, that will be trainwreck pretty. Edit: To be fair, I like poking fun at the Yankees. But I really don't hate them, though even fans will agree that the reaction to that would be Biblical.

So Brian Cashman wants the Yankees captaincy to retire with Derek Jeter
What a dumb idea
