So they've given up on the whole 'old school' part?

So they've given up on the whole 'old school' part? They haven't done a proper "old school" episode since last year. They've done older wrestling PPVs (i.e. ECW Heatwave '97), but, the last "old school" one they did was Wrestlemania 9. Not complaining, as I think it's funny either way, but, I'm just saying. Edit: "The Top 10 Lesbian Pollen Angles" was, to borrow a term, brilliant!

Must admit I'm not liking the moving away from proper Old School reviews. I want my nostalgia fix!
It feels like if the Angry Video Game Nerd suddenly started reviewing Playstation and Xbox games, it kind of loses its charm.

I'd not want to criticise the boys as they do a stella job but I'm not disagreeing entirely with your sentiments. When there's so much from the archive - old WCW/NWA or WWE PPVs to review, it seems ages since they've done any of it. Movies and games and WWECW is fine but I think they should also reconnect with what made them popular in the first place and the clue is in their name. I'd love to see them do a Starrcade or a WM14 or a Bash at the Beach. It's not as if there's a lack of stuff to pick from. It's hard to criticise when it's free and you don't pay for it (wait, has a wrestling fan REALLY said this?) but they're kind of hovering over the shark for me now, maybe not fully jumped it yet. Compare it to the Lapsed Fan podcast, which is really different genre but it's about stuff I like, know, remember and want to revisit again. If they started doing reviews of Ready to Rumble or crappy ECW episodes I wouldn't enjoy that either. As I say it's free and it's their business but part of the charm was reviewing stuff I remember fondly. Now they seem to be on a random "hey, this was crap let's do that" kick.

I was in two minds whether to post it in case I came across like the "comic book guy" in the Simpsons, because I have loved their work since the very beginning, I still have the video podcasts stored on my ipod from the pre-copyright days when they used to upload them onto ITunes. As you say, it is entirely their choice what they do with their baby, but they covered the Hulkamania era so well I'd love to see them do the same with more classic periods of wrestling.

I love them guys, but the New Generation guys do such an incredible job with their podcast that I feel like I don't need OSW to carry on with the old WWE PPV's now.

I'd love them to review this years Royal Rumble.
Honestly I'd get an OSW tattoo just so they would, (Even though I know they stopped that now)

They did have a valid comment when people complain about John Cena being the top bill for nearly a decade, in which the WWE has had three guys who could've overtaken him, but two of them had serious baggage and the third wound up being booked into the midcard and then suffered a serious of injuries as a result of working a pointless stipulation.

So are they reviewing all the recent PPVs now or was this one of their tattoo requests?

I think it was a tattoo request.
The funniest thing about this episode was their confusion about the criticism they get from how they say 'R', being Irish it sounds like how most other people say 'Or' so you get 'OrVD' 'IOrS' and the 'Rated Or Superstar'

I do like them jumping around a bit, but yeah, they only intended to do this series through SummerSlam 92 in the first place, so everything that's come after has been gravy because they didn't expect to be so successful. They'll figure something out soon, but these are guys who seemed to have grown up with old school WWF, and likely didn't have a ton of other US wrestling available to them before the Monday Night War era, so it might take awhile before they pick something like, say, an old school Starrcade review or whatever.
Loved this, though; kind of speaks to me when I hear them say how the current product has some of the best wrestling they've seen on mainstream TV, but that so little of it feels important or impressive due to the booking and the writing of the characters.
