Does anyone else remember this? In 1999 just before the King of the Ring Bossman is kicked out of the Corporate Ministry and the night after the PPV Vince, Shane and the Ministry are in the ring celebrating the McMahon's being in charge of the company, during the celebration though Bossman comes out to his old Rock N Wrestlin' era 'Hard Times' theme music to confront the ministry before saying 'I Love You Guys' and rejoining the group and going back heel.
What was the point of the Face turn then if that was the case? I understand there was the implication that bossman was the one who raised the briefcase to stop Austin winning but that AFAIK was never confirmed, and I know that random turns like this were a staple of Russo but this just seemed pointless, even if hearing Hard Times for a SRS Bossman was both awesome and hilarious.

I do remember that. At least I remember popping so hard for the old theme.

It was so he could raise the case. That was it I never understood why so many people failed to connect the dots and figure out who raised the briefcase. Apart from blasting "BOSSMAN DID IT" across the screen in flashing neon lights, I really don't know how much more clearer it had to be!

Ive never even seen this and I know it was to raise the case. It was so subtle that because of the completely unsubtle nature of the Attitude Era it goes over peoples heads.

Most people nowadays just remember the briefcase being lifted because it was on PPV and have no means of watching the follow up RAW, until the network came along.

If I remember right (I probably don't) if a member of the corporation interfered Austin won.
So they kicked him out so I guess if he got caught they couldn't lose automatically.

I was so excited to hear Hard Times and see a face Bossman and so pissed when he turned heel again.

It seemed like a waste of a potential face turn, because it's not like anyone saw him raise the case to begin with.

Most people nowadays just remember the briefcase being lifted because it was on PPV and have no means of watching the follow up RAW, until the network came along. The Raw after never flat out says Bossman did it. He just showed up, hugged McMahons, and that was it. Hence why there hasn't been a 100% answer to who did it, even if Bossman is the logical choice

Apart from blasting "BOSSMAN DID IT" across the screen in flashing neon lights, I really don't know how much more clearer it had to be! I thought it was Jeff Jarrett. He had more or less been a hired gun for the corporate ministry helping Vince defeat Shamrock in a lions den match on RAW and then later on Austin stunned him a few times on RAW. I figured JJ would help taker win the end of an era match and they they'd feud for summerslam. That's how I probably would a done it.

Yeah but then why was he back in the corporation if the Bossman wasn't the one who did it
