AJ gets more 'I hate her and want her to go away blah blah' threads than anyone ever (yes, even Adam Rose). I get why people wouldn't like her or would be bored of her act by this point but geez, it's troubling the voracity with which people hate on her, and there's way more of those people on here than her supposedly obsessive fanbase. Is it because she's a woman? Are people that offended at a woman they aren't attracted to or entertained by being on television that they can't shut up about it any time she's mentioned? She takes up like two minutes of the show these days. Are there not more important things to get worked up over? Can we just have a 'rolling AJ negativity thread' or an AJ haters club as some sort of antithesis to that Alliance thing? I dunno, she kinda bores me now and looks like she's phoning it in, Creative doesn't help, but whatever, it's not worth a daily rant thread. I know this particular thread is super tongue-in-cheek, it's more just the general overabundance of these threads in general It's hard not to notice how bored she may seem but she's on-screen a fair bit with no material. That has to suck. I've gone back and watched the three big AJ/Paige segments and WWE dropped the ball big time. The crowd reaction was great... at first and it was treated as a pretty big deal when she returned. The fact that her serious wrestling feud quickly turned into PG HLA has to suck as well. If AJ does leave by late 2015, I hope she at least gets a good exit angle.

I guess Cena hate is so in-built into wrestling fandom you forget it's even a thing. But even he is pretty short on people who won't at least concede he's a talented performer these days.

She's had the aura around her since mid 2012 like her shit doesn't stink despite being nothing special in any stretch and now suddenly she's looking bored and phoning it in the minute her fella has upped sticks and left. Grow up and put some effort in or piss off and let somebody else have your spot.

Like, the kind of hate most people only reserve for someone who's wronged them personally. It's bizarre. She's just an entertainer you don't find entertaining, nothing more. This isn't directed at you in particular, I just can't believe the level of vitriol that SO MANY people have for this one performer. If I hated any one wrestler as much as some people on here hate AJ, I wouldn't watch wrestling anymore, it's clearly progressed beyond a leisure activity.

I love AJ as a performer-but I HATE the way she is booked and especially the special treatment she gets. The best comparison is Trish Stratus; she was the undisputed top dog in her time, but her programs with women like Lita, Victoria, Molly Holly, or Mickie James were way less one sided. The other women were built as legit challengers to Trish, and actually went over her, sometimes in very dominant fashion. With AJ, its at a point where you know she's going over, typically in a matter of minutes. What's more, Trish did switch from face to heel a few times-but when she turned face, she actually TURNED FACE. She dropped the heel mannerisms and played the part of the fan favorite. AJ just doesn't seem to want to make that effort and seems to prefer playing the heel even when she is being booked as a face. With Trish, it felt like the booking was intended to keep fans coming back for more, but with AJ it feels like they are deliberately booking the entire women's roster just to keep her on top at all costs.

She's much better playing the scrappy underdog than the genre savy douche. Yeah, pretty much. The most frustrating thing is that booking her as a scrappy underdog would be really easy. In her current incarnation there really is no reason to like her apart from her in-ring skills.

I wouldn't say it's her not wanting to make the effort, it'd be equally tiresome if she dropped all of her character traits, and nonsensical since that's what got her over in the first place. It's her being booked to attack and insult people who've done nothing to provoke her. But let's face it, that's nothing new for a WWE babyface. Sheamus is just about the most cruel, ignorant and obnoxious character in WWE history, and we're supposed to love him, and John Cena is little better. Vince clearly thinks that's how 'cool' people act. You can be cocky and a loner and still be likeable, in fact those characters often make the best babyfaces, you just can't face everything with a shrug, a snidey remark and unwarranted acts of aggression and be likeable, yet that's what WWE does with its foremost 'good' guys over and over again. Ditto making them invincible to the point where there's no element of suspense in any of their feuds. AJ is girl John Cena; a good talker, capable of putting on an entertaining match but not a technical marvel, locked into a stale, unlikable character and continuously pushed as the undisputed top dog in her division at the detriment of fresher faces because the people in charge are convinced she's the only true draw.

I think my main issue is she's continued to act like she's better than the other divas without backing it up. In the early days of Total Divas it was fine as she had clear targets that were in a terrible never-ending feud but lately many of the divas have upped their game in the ring.
Outside the ring it could be argued Paige is more compelling to watch, Fox is a better crazy chick, Charlotte has more presence, The Bellas are more suited to the soap opera angles, Sasha is more of a heel, Bliss is the cute one and Bayley is both the better geek and underdog.
AJ is in desperate need of something new to do but as that list shows she's covered a lot of ground already, what else is there?

Yeah why enjoy someone with talent like AJ when you can be a fan of Eva Marie....who contributes absolutely nothing. I'm not particularly fond of AJ's shtick for the last year or so but at least I recognise she's over and decent in the ring. AJ's over, no doubt, and she can have good matches. I may not come off like it but I actually do have the ability to look at things objectively and fairly. That being said, I find her to be a joke of a performer when it comes to "acting" and her character is very unlikeable to me, personally. That's why I boo AJ. As for Eva, I honestly do think she has a ton of potential and could be the face of the division within five years if she sticks with wrestling and WWE gives her a chance instead of just throwing her out in the deep end immediately with no experience. AJ has been around for years and I just don't like her. It really is that simple.

If she's playing the role of the experienced ring general genre savvy champion, have her wear boots/knee pads/tights and look more like a pro-wrestler than she currently does. Why is she still donning chucks and ripped jean shorts beyond 'sex appeal, hard cam crotch focus calls in production meetings'? It's demeaning. Of course you'd need to cut down on the immature 'this is all I have' championship-have-no-friends lines and the 'woah, she so crazy' nonsense and just play up that she knows she can beat anyone as she's one of the few technically gifted (in kayfabe) women on the roster. Put her proven kayfabe skills ahead of her geek chick thing for once, change her outfit, make her less of a terrible 'psycho girlfriend!' cliche, make her the experienced/capable champion who can talk smack back at people when required.

She can't even blow kisses convincingly.
What she needs to do is study the Geek Goddess, the Queen of all Wrestling, AJ Lee, the champion now and forever, and then weep with jealousy.

At the very least bring up her past history and how she has been jilted, betrayed and used in the past(without naming names) and that's why she has such a "lone wolf" attitude, and why she only relies and trusts only herself and no one else, as opposed to the whole "LOLAJ'sCRAZY" schtick
