Sounds silly, but I'd change up her ring gear a bit. If she's playing the role of the experienced ring general genre savvy champion, have her wear boots/knee pads/tights and look more like a pro-wrestler than she currently does. Why is she still donning chucks and ripped jean shorts beyond 'sex appeal, hard cam crotch focus calls in production meetings'? It's demeaning. Of course you'd need to cut down on the immature 'this is all I have' championship-have-no-friends lines and the 'woah, she so crazy' nonsense and just play up that she knows she can beat anyone as she's one of the few technically gifted (in kayfabe) women on the roster. Put her proven kayfabe skills ahead of her geek chick thing for once, change her outfit, make her less of a terrible 'psycho girlfriend!' cliche, make her the experienced/capable champion who can talk smack back at people when required. At the very least bring up her past history and how she has been jilted, betrayed and used in the past(without naming names) and that's why she has such a "lone wolf" attitude, and why she only relies and trusts only herself and no one else, as opposed to the whole "LOLAJ'sCRAZY" schtick That seems like a great idea, instead of seeming desperate make her logical in her self belief and support. 'I've been let down by everyone in the past, I know I can rely on myself and my title proves it. Why do I have to be so manic? I know I can deal with it just like I deal with my competition.'

There are shitloads of things they can do with the Divas. But they just won't do it. For a supposed "entertainment" company, they are completely out of touch with the female audience. The film, TV and music industries have no problem building products around women that appeal to a female audience but WWE refuse to do so.

I love AJ as a performer-but I HATE the way she is booked and especially the special treatment she gets. The best comparison is Trish Stratus; she was the undisputed top dog in her time, but her programs with women like Lita, Victoria, Molly Holly, or Mickie James were way less one sided. The other women were built as legit challengers to Trish, and actually went over her, sometimes in very dominant fashion. With AJ, its at a point where you know she's going over, typically in a matter of minutes. What's more, Trish did switch from face to heel a few times-but when she turned face, she actually TURNED FACE. She dropped the heel mannerisms and played the part of the fan favorite. AJ just doesn't seem to want to make that effort and seems to prefer playing the heel even when she is being booked as a face. With Trish, it felt like the booking was intended to keep fans coming back for more, but with AJ it feels like they are deliberately booking the entire women's roster just to keep her on top at all costs. Couldn't word it any better myself. Thank you.

The booking of the Divas "division," if you can even call it that, sucks as a whole. Period.

Ol' Aige has lost Kaitlyn and CM Punk, so things probably aren't as fun for her anymore at her workplace. She's definitely lost her spark, makes me sad.

AJ will likely be gone in 6 months.
And the divas division will continue to struggle as creative scratches their head as to why.

AJ was horrendous during her angles with Bryan, Punk, and Cena. Skipping around, acting like she stepped out of some low-rent harem genre anime.
I honestly think she's as good as she's going to get from here on out, given the non-existent scope of the Women's Division...which isn't too bad of a deal, all things considered. At least she has notable personality traits other than "wrestler" or "bitchy wrestler"...
...if it's any consolation. Which it isn't, I reckon.

I love AJ's commentary. She's great at it and it's been a highlight of Smackdown the past few weeks. I fail to see where making smug comments and acting like you're above kayfabe helps anybody.

AJ's entrance theme "Light It Up" isn't meant to be taken literally.

Ol' Aige has lost Kaitlyn and CM Punk, so things probably aren't as fun for her anymore at her workplace. She's definitely lost her spark, makes me sad. I honestly don't think it would be that simple. It's probably the fact that she's given nothing to do. AJ: "Hey, so what am I doing tonight?" Creative: "Just commentary. You'll figure out what to say." AJ: ... AJ: "I know the angle with Paige isn't great. I wonder who to blame for that. But if you could just give us five minutes in a cell, I think it will do a lot of good." Creative: "Yeah, no. You're getting five minutes but try not to do too much with it. We wouldn't want to burn out the crowd before the main event." AJ: ...! Once AJ is gone, I really look forward to her thoughts about how her importance started to fade the moment she stopped making out with guys. I don't expect her to want to say when her contract is up. She has no reason to.

It's entertaining, and within the smugness highlights each women's talents individually. She's a credible heel giving credit where it's due but still maintaining she can beat everyone. What more do you want?

What more do you want? ... AJ's supposed to be the face. Anti-hero. We finally get a diva with three-dimensional shades of grey who isn't just "like me all of a sudden." Paige is the heel because she's more diabolical than AJ.

I maintain that AJ vs Paige should have been a feud for the ages, every bit equal to Trish vs Lita. All the elements were there, perfectly aligned; AJ was the long reigning, dominant heel champion who had gone over every woman on the main roster. Paige was the fresh, determined up and comer who was proving herself a formidable contender in NXT. The fanbase was increasingly speculating about what a potential show down between the two of them would look like and the anticipation for it was growing as AJ's title reign wore on and she had fewer and fewer plausible opponents. And while I understand AJ needed the time off and a transitional champ was needed in the interim, they still did not need to blow a story that had so much potential, especially the way they blew it. Throwing away he match fans had been fantasizing about for almost a year in less than five minutes on free TV was one of the biggest bullets in the foot I have ever seen. Paige was a dominant champion in NXT, which is why she was viewed as a plausible opponent for AJ by so many-yet once she got to the main roster, they went out of their way to portray her as a "Cinderella story" and stripped away all the elements that got her over in NXT. And then, once they decided to turn Paige heel, they never really made AJ out as a face. AJ continued to play her heel character and it was up to Paige to try to make herself so unlikable that she would be the actual heel. Its astonishing how they could take something so obvious and make it so lame.

... AJ's supposed to be the face. Anti-hero. We finally get a diva with three-dimensional shades of grey who isn't just "like me all of a sudden." Paige is the heel because she's more diabolical than AJ. While I appreciate the idea behind what they are doing with AJ, it isn't clicking with me because nothing about AJ strikes me even somewhat likeable. It kinda reminds me of CM Punk where he repeatedly called himself (and demanded that others call him) "The Best in the World" despite being a babyface. He still had some likeability to him, however, in that he acknowledged his fans (especially Chicago) and he had clearly defined personal beliefs that, even if you didn't agree with them, you had to respect just because of how much he believed in them. He wasn't afraid of anyone and he had no problems trading verbal barbs with anybody, whether it be John Cena or Johnny Ace. AJ though....she's just a bitch. Really, that's basically her gimmick right now. She doesn't like anyone, only cares about her title, seemingly doesn't give a f*** about the fans, and pretty much breathes smug every time she appears. In order for an anti-hero to work, there HAS to be something for me, as a fan, to rally behind. Some kind of likeable trait, some kind of goal, something. AJ's only goal right now appears to be to out-bich Paige and keep her title. I can't rally behind that. I mean, if she wasn't the champion, I could at least somewhat rally behind her trying to win back the title she lost but I can't even do that. Honestly, it reminds me of Vince Russo-style of shades of grey where everyone involved in the feud is unlikeable. That's really poor storytelling.

AJ actually covered her character's development in several interviews prior to HIAC.
Apparently WWE's Creative Team has different ideas than AJ, since the material given hasn't remotely resembled anything of a redemption arc.
